Now That The Elections Are Over, The NASS Should Quickly Fix The Electoral-Act. by BluntCrazeMan: 10:51am On Oct 02, 2023
Here are the Quick Fixes which the Members of the National Assembly should do on the Electoral-Act-2022.

1. Specificity.
Even though the Electoral-Act might still give the INEC the powers and the discretion to make some certain decisions, the Electoral-Act must have to clearly specify the mode, the means, and the medium through which the INEC publicizes those decisions, and most-especially, the Electoral-Act should specify the timelines beyond which such decisions by the INEC cannot be changed again - no matter what.

2. Instant Synchronisation of the Electronic Accreditation Data for all voters.
Once the accreditation is going on on the election day, the data of the accreditation continues to get constantly synchronised with the central electronic register of voters, and with the collation system for accreditation, even before the voting in the Polling-unit ends.

3. Bimodal biometric/facial authentication of all voters.
The bimodal authentication of all the voters before voting must be made to be mandatory and compulsory.

4. Instant Electronic Transmission and Electronic Collation of results at the end of voting exercise.
This should also be made to be mandatory and compulsory in the Electoral-Act too.. Then, further laws and rules on the methods for the manual reviews of the electronically collated results and announcements, should be included in the Electoral-Act.

5. Publicly viewable “Results-Dashboard” and/or “Results-Viewing-Portal”..
The Electoral-Act Act should include rules for the proper arrangement of the results on the dashboard or portal in such a way that the results of all the levels of results (both the polling unit results and the collated results), can all be viewed separately; including both the initial electronic collations of the results, as well as the Officially Reviewed Collated Results at all levels.

6. Authorities of the INEC’s Regulations, Guidelines, and Manuals
The Act should clearly give appropriate authorities to the Regulations, Guidelines, and Manuals, and any documentations or notices, or directives (whether written or verbal) which were duly issued by the INEC in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral-Act, such that anybody who breaches of any of the rules contained in any of the documents would know the gravity of the breach - depending on the actual document which bore the rules or directives that were breached.

Regardless of how perfect your law is, an evil mind will always find a way to circumvent it.
Nigeria is a country full of evil people who hide under religion to perpetuate evil.

With each passing day, it becomes clearer that the only thing that can fix this country is a violent revolution. Unfortunately, we haven't reached there yet because we allow tribalism and religious fanaticism becloud our thinking faculty.

There is nothing to fix . The electoral act is explicitly clear about the electoral processes , which eye neck violated . Instead of the court to point this out in their judgement, they decided to go rogue and call black white .

Every election, the court always want to make it look like there are loopholes in our electoral laws, which is not true, it is their two faced judgement that is the cause of all the chaos in every electioneering time.

The issue of the Abuja 25% issue, look at how they misinterpreted the law to suit their narrative. Abuja doesn't have a special status, so why is abuja not electing Governors like other state state , yet their is fct minister which doesn't apply to other states. Why are they not electing 3 senators like other states but one, yet it doesn't have a special status

Ogun will strike all the rogues destroying this country with injustice to suit their selfishness

Since we have such judges in Nigeria, the Electoral-Act should be made more effective.
There is no need moving further with such an Electoral-Act which they had openly made so powerless.

No matter the uprising and revolution by the people,, there are still going to be elections and petitions in the future.

The Electoral-Act is supposed to be fixed in such a way that INEC themselves cannot even by-pass it, even if they tried all their best.

Nothing will be fixed until around 2030.
Nobody will deliberately block their own path to victory.

This is practically impossible. You people don't understand what negative energy means.

In this case, a man with negative energy will easily ruin a working system that he has been entrusted with him. Nothing, I mean nothing, can stop him from succeeding because it's their area of speciality.

no matter how many times you change it, no matter how effective our laws are, the rogues will always dish out judgement to rubbish the law

In other climes, judges interpret laws , but here, judges contradict laws when it doesn't suit their narrative thereby making it look like the laws have loopholes.

Is the Abuja 25% law not clear enough, but how did they interpret it?

That Abuja-25% Judgement sef..
I still dey look am shaa..
But I have decided not to base on that,, at least, after Supreme Court,, we can now use whatever they ruled as precedents for future cases.

You see..
It really gives me concern that the system in other places are working..
And our Nigerians are also in those systems too..
And those systems continued working.
Nigerians are even getting accolades for being dedicated to their works..
They don't have negative energies over there.

Why is it that every system in Nigeria is so weak and corrupt,, down to its very nerves..
Down to the lowest person.??

Is it weak laws?
Weak implementation of laws?
Is it widespread poverty?
Is it lack of discipline?
Is it lack of adequate checks-and-balances?
Is it bad people? (which I strongly don't believe)

Ok.
But the members of the National Assembly should just know that they have a lot of work to do.

And they shouldn't joke with that work ooo.

If NASS under Lawan’s Leadership gave us an Electoral-Act that made Electronic Accreditation Mandatory and Compulsory,, then I don't have any fear or doubts that NASS under Akpabio will go further and make Electronic Transmission and Electronic Collation mandatory and compulsory,, and also make it mandatory and compulsory for all those electronically collated results and the reviewed collated results by the collation officers to be published on the INEC’s website immediately the Final results are declared by the final returning officer.

THIS VERY AMENDMENT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THOROUGH AND TOUGH.
NO NEED TO GIVE ROOM FOR LOOPHOLES..

it will not work... Remember that shetima needs to be president after Asiwaju TINUBU'S tenure... Then after shetima it will come over to South and wike will take over...

Lawan knew that Tinubu would take over after Buhari,, and he allowed the amendments.

So, you think Akpabio won't have some interests too, and have reasons for the adjustment?
