With yesterday’s Supreme Court judgement, Senator Hope Uzodinma is on his way to occupying the topmost seat in Imo State.

The victory of the 61-year-old business mogul-cum-politician ended the eight months governorship of Emeka Ihedioha who was sworn as governor of the state on May 29 last year.

Any moment from now, the former senator who represented Imo West Senatorial District will be issued the certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to pave way for his swearing in as the 16th governor of the state, created in 1976 from then East Central State.

Against the declaration of INEC on March 9, the Supreme Court yesterday sacked Ihedioha, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives.

The sacking of Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has returned the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Imo government house. The state was governed by the APC until May 29 last year.

In nullifying the election, the apex court agreed that the results in 388 polling units were unlawfully excluded during the collation of the final governorship election result in the state. The seven-member panel of the Supreme Court justices was unanimous in the judgement.

Recall that in the governorship election result declared by INEC, Ihedioha polled 273,404 votes, followed by Uche Nwosu of Action Alliance who scored 190,364 votes. Senator Ifeanyi Ararume of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) got 114,676 and Uzodinma scored 96,458 votes.

Uzodinma’s battle to occupy the Imo State government house tore the APC in the state apart, forcing Uche Unwosu, the political godson of the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha, to seek solace in another political party, Action Alliance (AA).

Reports from our correspondent last night revealed that there were mixed feelings in the state; while some were rejoicing, others were lamenting the development.

In this same vein, Damian Dodo (SAN) said all along the case has been that Uzodinma was forced to be Number 4 was actually the Number one candidate.

Lawyers to Ihedioha led by Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN) expressed surprise at the conclusion reached by the Supreme Court.

APC will retain power in Nassarawa. With $5 million dollar bribe taker Ganduje as APC Chairman and the agbero grand patron in the number one seat don't expect any rule of law.

Is this not suppose to be a news of four years ago? Who pushed this to FP?

What Buhari and his Fulani Supreme Court judges did to Nigeria will never be erased from our history. This is one of the hand writings of Tanko. Since APC took over IMO state , peace have eluded them . Look at Owerri a once bubbling flexing city before Hope came is now a shadow of itself.

Imolites will never forget the day we heard IPOB attacked Imo state police headquarters. Some ignorant folks here used the opportunity to demonize IPOB and I laughed at their stupidity.
People who are very familiar with Imo state, especially government house axis, knows the only way any attacker can gain access to police headquarters is if they come with an armored tank, or an attack helicopter.
Here's why;
1) It's situated in the same street as Imo State government house, and the entrance to this street is protected by a heavy gate, always manned with soldiers, police and spotters on the look-out point atop the gate
2) Police headquaters is directly across Imo State government house
3) it's in the centre of town
4) Anti-kidnapping squad, SARS, traffic police offices are in this same street,
5) Nigerian prisons service (which was also attacked the same night) in a stone throw from there. In fact, the backyard of prisons opens up just to the street of government house.
6) There are at least 4 police stations within 10 minutes to government house; 1 at orji, 1 at aladimma, a very big one at fire service, 1 near owerri municipal
7) police barracks is situated near government house, near Shell Camp
8 ) Nigerian artillery brigade, while situated at Obinze but it wont take 30 minutes for soldiers to arrive at government house at night

We have all these security formations and we're still made to believe IPOB attackers danced around government house roundabout while shooting into the air for up to 20 minutes, and then proceeded to attack police headquaters and Prisons. Funny folks.

For Gulak's murder
1) Gulak tried to sneak out of government house. He was dressed in a polo and jean trouser, and ordered a Uber. Nothing about him would make you believe he's a high-ranking government official
2) The uber didn't take the usual route to imo airport, which is the Aba road route but instead took the lesser-known route through some villages
3) Gulak was shot at point-blank range, while the uber driver was asked to drive off asap
4) Less than 7hours after his murder, the police commissioner paraded some guys and claimed they're the ones who murdered Gulak and that they're IPOB members.

Only someone/people who are privy to Gulak's movement could've ordered and perpetrated his assassination.

I took my time to list out these so some fools will understand that the things happening in my dear state are more than meets the eye

In Nigeria

Leadership =f9
Security Agencies=f9
Law Makers=F9
Governance=f9
Judiciary f9

This situation became worst the moment Goodluck Jonathan handed power to the APC. They came and destroyed everything. Right now, our judiciary is the most useless arm of government

Lol
This is Nigeria.
Where INEC gets billions but can't hold credible election but will need the court to clean their mess
If INEC clears most issues to a reasonable state, the judiciary won't be needed this much
INEC will allow candidate without original certificate contest and await court to sort the dispute.

Why keep wasting money on INEC when we can make the electoral body a subset of Judiciary to save us from all these tribunal disgrace of INEC.
