The present austerity measure we imposed upon ourselves is the result of long years of fraudulent rule of our past leaders. These two are part of the problem that we are going through and the blinded obedients are busy looking the other way when real Nigerian thieves are walking free in abroad shopping life with 35 fingers . You cannot be a Petroleum Minister, NNPC GMD, CBN Governor, Minister of Finance, EFCC Chair or head any position where the resources of this country intermingle and end well in the present day Nigeria where the structure says the President of the country is king and government is personalized as his kingdom.

The simple reason why subsidy thieves could not be named thoughtless of being caught, the reason why currency runners continue to have a field day, the reason why Nigeria is run by Contractors and Consultants is simple. A faulty structure. A personalized government that leaves institutions stunted and unable to compete with 'black Nigeria' thoughtless of being the go-to agents of national development.

And the root of all this is a citizenry unable, uninterested and incompetent to demand for a better experience living in this country.
Unless and until this country is restructured our progress will continue like the path of the earth round the sun..... in sure circles.
