I observed that people don't like buying the last akara or buns, or meat pie, or fufu, you name it!

They don't just like buying the last item in a show glass or transparent bucket in a shop.

Like before, as I passed one shop in the morning, the show glass was full of buns and meat pie.

People were rushing and buying.

Towards evening, I noticed that only one buns was remaining, and I was like

'how comes?'

What shocked me more is that someone came to buy buns, but had to leave because that is the last one remaining.

Sometimes, it could remain like 5 pieces, but a customer would take only 4 and leave the "last one. "



Why is it so?

Nobody wan carry last.

The last snack belongs to the owner. I do that alot.

It is seen as being old and not fresh

And there's a psychology in amount giving the impression of quality

Same reason you would prefer going to a stall that is fully stocked instead of a poorly stocked one beside it
