There have recently been petitions circulated calling for Francesco Melpignano's expulsion from Kadena because he is not carrying out his responsibilities honorably. Let's learn more about the Francesco Melpignano petition as it currently has 20 signatures and is working toward a target of 25 signatures.

The Francesco Melpignano petition only offers the following:

Members of the Kadena Eco community who have signed this petition demand that Francesco Melpignano petition be promptly removed from his position on the Kadena Eco management team and from any other Kadena-related positions, as well as that he be the focus of an investigation. This petition was developed as a result of Mr. Melpignano's unethical and immoral handling of the grant program and Kaddex (now known as EckoDAO). For the avoidance of doubt, the undersigned believes that going forward, Francesco should not be a part of the Kadena community and that Kadena Core should not attempt to conduct business with Melpignano.

The Francesco Melpignano petition states that the signatories have witnessed and personally saw Mr. Melpignano engage in the following unethical behaviors:

Misappropriation of Grant Funds:

By allocating grant funds to organizations and persons that do not support Kadena Eco's objectives and beliefs, Mr. Melpignano has displayed blatant contempt for the intended use of those funds. As a result, initiatives that may significantly benefit the community are not supported.

Nepotism and favoritism:

Mr. Melpignano has been accused of continually favoring some individuals and projects over others, regardless of merit, due to personal relationships and prejudices. This behavior undermines the fairness and transparency ideals in which Kadena Eco takes great joy. The most striking example of this is when former Redwing Labs employees from Melpignano founded EckoDAO. These employees and Melpignano even went so far as to delete their LinkedIn job records in order to conceal this link from the public. 

A Deficit of Transparency

It has been challenging for community members to understand how money is allocated and how activities are prioritized because the decision-making process for the creation of Kaddex and the allocation of financing has remained secretive. Even the amount of remaining development funds from Melpignano's $100 million investment is uncertain.

Unprofessional behavior

Many Kadena locals have cited incidents of Mr. Melpignano acting in an improper manner. The community's overall development and health have deteriorated as a result of the environment's poisoning.

Mismanagement of Kadena and EckoDAO activities in general:

Mr. Melpignano mismanaged EckoDAO, and the Kaddex project under his management was plagued by delays and a lack of direction. The long-term success of the EckoDAO and Kadena communities is at risk as a result of many people losing trust in the concept. Further claims suggest that EckoDAO paid substantial consultation fees to Melpignano and others, raising the risk of EckoDAO money being misappropriated.

Due to the aforementioned behaviors, the Kadena community's standing, integrity, and growth have all suffered greatly. The people who made up the undersigned group believe that Mr. Malpignano's continued involvement in the administration of Kadena Eco is not in the neighborhood's best interests.

We, the undersigned, respectfully demand that Francesco Melpignano petition be immediately removed from his position as Kadena Eco management and that a thorough and open investigation into his conduct be conducted in order to guarantee that resources are distributed fairly and equally within the community moving forward.
