Residents of Iba LCDA, Ojo Appeal To Gov. Sanwo-Olu, Others To Fix Streets by anitazion: 2:18pm On Oct 10, 2023
Residents of Various Communities in Iba LCDA, Ojo, Alaba, Okokomaiko and Igboelerin appeal to Governor Sanwo Olu, Senators, LGA/LCDA Chairmen etc to fix the inner roads or streets in their communities.

According to Mr Gboyega a resident of one of the above mentioned locations, the situation or condition of these communities are really bad, pathetic and terrible.
The roads are so damaged, destroyed and full of gullies such that residents cannot drive through them with their own vehicles.
"I have to park my car at a friend's mechanical workshop everyday which is quite a distance from my actual place of residence.
This has been the state of issues for years and yet we pay all kinds of taxes here and there and now and then.
I and so many people who reside in these areas often wonder what is the reason why nothing seems to be done yet at all about the terrible states of roads in these communities".

When led through some of the communities it's very much clear that the roads are so terrible, and can only be utilized by pedestrians and vehicles during the dry season.
Mrs Safa who trades in one of the markets in one of the communities vividly described how she and her family wade in knee deep flooded roads to go to and fro to business every day.
School Children of tender ages often wade waist deep in such kind of floods in very unhygienic and unsanitary conditions that threaten their health.
"It's now more than just an obligation, it's now a humanitarian emergency"
Please Dear Government, do something about it.
We respectfully call on His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu, We call on Her Excellency Senator Dr Idiat Adebule, plus the House of Reps of the areas, plus the LGA Chairman and everyone whom it may concern, please something should be done urgently about these streets and roads in the above mentioned affected communities. the residents are really going through hell.
Thanks.
Comrade Dapo Adeniyi

This is a thread from October 10.

Ps. This letter has no source. It's only being reported on Nairaland. Governor Sanwo Olu or LASG official are not on Nairaland.
