The Airline goofed big time. Such situation is easily resolved through trained PR not deboarding a customer. She might have highly valuable item like gold in the bag.

They didn't goof because there is a safety reason why no loose objects in the cabin is enforced. It's the passenger who goofed, if she truly was a frequent flier she'll know nobody is allowed to hold on to their handbags during takeoff and landing. When the plane is safely in the air or has landed then you can retrieve your bag.

From observation, he meant to say United Airline belong to Nigeria because United Airline to America doesn't fly to Owerri. It only goes to Lagos. How many passages go to Owerri that United will waste their pressure time and fuel to Owerri? I would rather fly to PH and Abuja before any other useless airport in Nigeria.

What do you know about Airlines and aviation security,her acts alone is a security threat to airline properties and safety of the passengers
Is she the only person who probably might have gold in her handbag,so you mean other passengers who kept their luggage at the overhead cabin do not have gold or valuables in them
In situations like this,she will be deboarded,she'll be kept at the AVSEC office until the aircraft lands but if she makes further trouble she'll be taken to the police station locked up,sign an undertaken and probably blacklisted
