Diablo 4 Druid Guide: Mastering The Latest Balance Changes by cammyaustillgoz(f): 3:42am On Oct 12, 2023
Season 2 is just around the corner, and with it comes a slew of game-changing updates for Diablo 4. While there's a lot to cover for all the classes, this video is dedicated exclusively to the Druid. Join me as we explore the latest changes and my opinions on what's shaping up to be powerful and what might no longer be viable.

New Druid Unique: Dolman Stone
Let's kick things off with the new Druid unique, the Dolman Stone. This amulet introduces an exciting twist to the Druid's abilities. When you cast Boulder while your Hurricane is active, it causes your boulders to rotate around you, striking enemies multiple times. Think of it as a whirlwind for the Druid, adding a fresh layer of complexity to your skills. While it sounds fantastic, its endgame viability is yet to be determined. Managing its high Spirit cost will be essential, and I plan to experiment with a Nature's Fury build using this unique.

Xfiles Corroded Signet
Another intriguing addition is the Xfiles Corroded Signet, which grants your damage-over-time effects a chance to explode and deal damage to nearby enemies. For poison-focused Druids, this could add a thrilling dimension to your gameplay, offering both visual flair and potential power.

Raw Might Aspect
Season 2 introduces the Raw Might Aspect for Druids. After hitting 15 enemies with your Werebear skills, your next Werebear skill will deal significantly more damage and stun enemies for two seconds. This aspect provides a substantial damage multiplier for Werebear skills, making it a compelling choice for Druids looking to maximize their damage output.

Paragon Glyphs
Two new Paragon glyphs for Druids deserve attention. "Electrocution" significantly boosts the damage of your lightning bolts and dancing bolts when you purchase Willpower nodes. This will be a must-have for lightning-based builds. "Tectonic" enhances your Earth skills with increased crit damage and lucky hit chance. While crit strike damage isn't as valuable due to recent changes, the lucky hit chance makes this glyph worthwhile.

Overpower Changes
Overpower skills are getting a significant buff, with damage now scaling based on your current life percentage. Additionally, Overpower benefits from enemy vulnerabilities, making it an attractive choice for Druids looking to harness its newfound power.

Druid-Specific Balance Changes
Several Druid skills and passives have received adjustments. For example, Mad Wolves' Glee now offers a 140% multiplicative increase to poison damage, making it a potent choice for poison-focused Druids. Fierce Earth Spike's fortify mechanic has been altered to factor in max life, which significantly improves its usability. Rabies receives a substantial damage buff, potentially making it a strong choice for Druids. Ancestral Fortitude grants resistance to all elements, adding to your survivability.

Nature's Fury
Nature's Fury is receiving a massive change that allows Earth skills to trigger Storm skills and vice versa. This change opens up exciting possibilities for Nature's Fury builds, removing the need for split scaling between Earth and Storm skills. This adjustment breathes new life into these builds, offering unprecedented flexibility.

Bug Fixes
Several bug fixes have been implemented, with notable changes to how Landslides and Tera Motes are created when using the Trample Earth Aspect. This alteration allows for more skill variety within Druid builds. Additionally, a bug fix has made Bull Work scale off max life, impacting its offensive capabilities.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Diablo 4 Season 2 promises a wealth of changes for the Druid class. Poison, lightning, and Nature's Fury builds stand out as compelling options. While the balance landscape may shift, the versatility and adaptability of the Druid class continue to make it an exciting choice for players seeking unique and powerful gameplay experiences. Are you planning to stick with the Druid in Season 2, or will you try out this versatile class for the first time? Share your thoughts and embark on a new adventure in the world of Diablo 4.
