According to the reports, the woman in the truck is identified as Shani Louk, a German tourist.

Shani Louk, a German citizen, has been recognized as the woman in the video. Armed militants in Gaza can be seen in the video, which CNN has confirmed, displaying Louk on a vehicle while chanting "Allahu Akbar," which translates to "God is Great." According to The Washington Post, Shani, who had a Polish father, was a dual citizen of Germany and Israel.

She was a tattoo artist, and based on her Instagram profile, it appears that she had been working in Tel Aviv and other cities in Israel. Shani Louk, the 22-year-old German-Israeli woman whose naked body was paraded through Gaza after she was kidnapped by Hamas and feared to be dead, is alive, her family said Tuesday.

"We now have more information that Shani is alive," her mother, Ricarda, told the German news outlet NTV.

Shani was at a music festival when she was abducted by Hamas militants during their attack on Israel on Saturday.

Her mother, who claimed she received word of her daughter's condition from unnamed Palestinian sources, said Tuesday Shani has serious head injuries and is in a Gaza hospital, NTV reported.

Ricarda called on German officials for help.

"Every minute counts," she said.

Shani, a tattoo artist, is among more than 100 people Hamas has claimed to have taken hostage at the outbreak of the war in Israel on Saturday.
