Lol!

So Yakubu is saying that PEPT was wrong when it said INEC was at liberty not to transmit?

Very shameless fools.

Supported by more brainless fools.

The law mandates transmission then why did you not transmit the Presidential election?

Racoon:
And this man is still seating as chair of INEC? Conducting elections in Nigeria? Just imagine the disorganisation in the same sensitive agency of government. Barr Ari organised a gang up to forcefully announced Binnani as governor-elect while collation of election results were still ongoing.

Same way this same Mahamod Yakubu disregards all electoral irregularities including incongruent IREV portal results just to legalise and announce a fraud around past 4am. This is how he promised same time last election only to shift goal post in the middle of the game just to commit electoral robbery for a well known criminal.

Nobody should be surprise about Mohamod stance. This organiser of the worst grand electoral heist ever seen in the annals of this nation have started rehearsing the familial electoral criminal drill
Nigerians are shameless!!!!

Penguin2:

The law does.

That is, the law mandates electronic transmission of all elections conducted after the 2022 Electoral Act was signed into law.

But let’s assume the law didn’t make electronic transmission mandatory, that INEC was at liberty to choose which mode to use, what mode did INEC choose and told the world they’d chosen in the 2023 elections?

Yakubu himself, at Chatham House, told the world that INEC would transmit votes electronically IN REAL TIME.

Subsequent press statements and media engagements by INEC reinforced this message.

Even INEC guidelines for the election was tailored in that line.

Only for INEC to turnaround on Election Day and do something contrary to what they have chosen and you think they are still within their right?

The media were the ones who twisted what INEC had insisted. There is nowhere in the electoral law where INEC is mandated to transmit electronically.

IREV is only a backup to confirm results and not the primary method of transmission. In the buildup to the elections, a lot of nonsense were said by both media houses and social media influencers to give separate meaning to the electoral process.

engineerboat:

That's the process

Uploading to IREV prevent result manipulation after the PU announcements as it give check and balances on any arising issue

Read This by engineerboat too. He is saying the same thing as me. There is no where INEC told anyone they will replace manual collation with electronic collation if they did, they were either misquoted or you heard wrong.

When results are uploaded, it gives party agents a way to crosscheck the results of the elections with what was announced.

After the last presidential election, independent bodies determined to prove that Peter Obi won started collating presents based on IREV and none of them released their findings.

One by Mark Essien (a popular obidient) was abandoned midway after he saw that Tinubu truly won and the activity was going to affect Peter Obi's case at the tribunal.

So that is the point of the IREV. To verify the manually transmitted results

Unfortunately, people like Racoon and Penguin2 will not admit this because of their interests.

Ask Engineerboat though, he will admit.

There’s no where I said INEC talked about Electronic Collation of votes but Electronic Transmission.

INEC promised to transmit results electronically as to mitigate against manipulation of the results/votes that would be collated manually.

We saw it in Edo.

We saw it in Anambra

We saw it Ekiti.

We saw it Osun.

Why did this practice change at the presidential election?

And talking about social media saying what INEC didn’t say before the election, was it Social Media that recorded Mahmoud Yakubu speaking at Chatham House? If yes, is there evidence that INEC denied that what Yakubu was recorded saying at Chatham House was not the position of INEC?

How can you go to collate what is on the IREV when significant percentage of is there is unreadable?

Up to now, not all of the polling units has been uploaded to the IREV as regards the presidential election.

Is that what you will go to collate?

The intention is not to go to court but to end the election at the polling units. If the election is super transparent via IREV in real-time,
the litigations afterwards will be greatly reduced and easy for the court to decide.

Checkpoints? Election is meant for man and not man for elections
Mynd44:

Comparing American elections with Nigeria is not a good argument.

When you transmit electronically, how will the ward and state agents sign at these "check points"?

If theu do not sign or do not point out errors there, how will anyone be able to go to court to say he/she was rigged or there was violence or over voting?

People don't even understand that a lot of the things INEC does is because they know the election will end in court and they want to make those court cases easier

Lol
If the process is transparent we don't need agents signatures to verify the outcome

If you as an aspirant is following results as dey pour in all you need is a situation room where can collate and calculate your score accordingly

It doesn't require rocket science

If inec was transparent with February 25th election do you think there would be agitation from any quarters??

Some well-meaning Nigerians really need to head to the courts, and demand the courts to interpret Section:64-Subsections:4,5,6,7,8,9 of the Electoral-Act-2022.

That SECTION:64 is very necessary.
We cannot be heading to elections, and yet some parts of Our Laws are VERY CLOUDY.

Not for them to upload the results whenever they like.
But for them to be uploaded direct from the polling-units,, so that they can be used to very the collated results.

Or, are they promising us that the collation exercise in the three elections cannot continue to the next stage of collation if the results are NOT complete on the IREV Portal, and that even if the collated results moved further, then, it must have eliminated all those polling-unit results that were not verified with the IREV Portal.??
