Where do we go?

Those have been the words on the lips of Israeli-Hamas citizens since the beginning of the war on Sunday, October 8th, 2023.

It all started when the Palestinian militia group Hamas unexpectedly attacked Israel, resulting in the abduction of over a hundred individuals and the death of more than a thousand Israelis.

Israel immediately followed the attack by retaliating and launching confrontations that have since claimed the lives of over 500 Palestinians.

With this, the US and most Western nations have denounced Hamas, labelling them as a terrorist organization. However, the opinion is different globally.

The public's views are widely divided, and potential economic consequences loom huge as the world community nervously watches the situation.

The consequences that might come with this have an especially negative effect on sub-Saharan African countries like Nigeria, which is facing serious economic challenges.
