And removing Tinubu will bring down the price of imported rice from 48k to 35k, right?

You think Tinubu is responsible for the inflation that is being felt all over the world? Do you guys really understand the fundamentals that drive the economy?

How will removing Tinubu and putting Atiku help you and my hungry neighbors? Explain and make it make sense.
This is what I have been saying and this is the question these idiots can't answer. The economy is a reflection of the kind of business we carry out as citizens. Government cannot change it but can only dangle incentives at us. We have a choice of accepting or rejecting that incentive.
For example, the naira is down right now. In economic parlance, this would encourage exports of commodities but what is happening? People are still in search of the dollar to import more luxury goods instead of thinking of production.

US, UK, EU and other African countries are also experiencing skyrocketing inflation. So, is Tinubu also responsible?

Floating the exchange rate is not a bad policy. In fact, it was advised by all sensible economists. We’ve little or no reserve left to defend the Naira at a fixed rate. JP Morgan chase report on CBN foreign reserve is in the open. We either reform now no matter how painful but watch the county collapse before the end of the year. As at February this year when the fixed rate you’re now advocating for was still in place, CBN could no longer pay for our imports and foreign companies are now rejecting our letter of credits.

So, hating on Tinubu will not change anything. He’s doing what a sensible leader should do looking at the current situation. He’s not a magician and won’t do magic in less than 5 months.

Seun, we all know the reasons for the inflation, I do not understand your defense, it has nothing to do with hating Tinubu or not, he has destroyed the economy with his policies, we should not compare the inflation in US, UK and wherever.

Our own inflation started with the removal subsidy, are you not aware of that ? Which in turn led to increase in goods and services.

Why did Tinubu not wait for the refineries to start working before removing subsidy now we are paying 3times the amount as subsidy because of the dollar rate , how much was subsidy before he came into power and how is subsidy now?

Hate Tinubu or not doesn't change the fact that he is clueless and doesn't have any plans to take us out of the present situation.

Someone with a plan would not bring back does 40+ items banned by CBN to be imported.

You can take sides with him but still would not change anything, it would only get worse, I believe you read about the mismatched equipment for the refinery, that's Nigeria for you.

Most of his critics are insincere political hacks. They don't care about Nigeria but only about their selfish interests.
Does it even make any sense to continue the same policies which didn't help Nigeria for decades?

Nigeria is no longer a two party state, the emergence of the labour party as a force to recon with in our political space has made this country a three Party state, Nigerians are now divided into three groups, the pdp, apc and lp supporters, since the issue of certificate forgery came up, the pdp and the lp supporters have found one thing in common, to remove tinubu and the apc from power and tinubu has provided the fertile ground for them with his shady past and the abysmal nature the country has turned since he came to power, buhari who everyone including his kinsmen believed to be the worst president we have had is now laughing and making merry because tinubu has cleansed him of that tag in a matter of six months, the country has been seriously messed up by this new government, inflation is above the roof, poverty at it's highest and insecurity is still ravaging the country, tinubu should have used this opportunity to better the country by enacting favourable policies that will relief the country from the hardship they went through under the infamous buhari but instead, he continues to make it worse, he is now the worst president ever to ruled this country, the certificate forgery which is clear to everyone that he is guilty has placed the supreme Court in between a peaceful Nigeria and a disastrous riots that will be worse than the end sars era, if the supreme Court sweep the certificate forgery under the carpet, there will be massive unrest in this country and this time, it's going to sponsored from many fronts.

If Tinubu is guilty and clear to everyone, why is your messiah Obi in court since Tinubu has been found guilty? The problem is that you Igbos always think Nigeria starts and ends with Igbos. The same country you once called a zoo

You think Tinubu is responsible for the inflation that is being felt all over the world? Do you guys really understand the fundamentals that drive the economy?

It clearly shows that you don't understand the various factors that drive economy. The singular fact that the presidential election was conducted in the manner it was handled, is more than enough to collapse a country's economy. It's just like when there's geopolitical tension it affects the global prices of crude oil, the same stuff is playing out here. How can an umpire body be so clueless and biased in an electoral system and you expect things to fall in place, especially when the favoured candidate has so many baggages?

What you don't know is that investor's confidence in Nigeria has been drained down due to the badly handled 2023 presidential election. Even your diaspora countrymen have lost hope too. If you like compare past remittances and foreign inflow both now and pre-election era. There's a huge draw down.

Many small companies are folding up and some individuals resigning from employment (banking and IT sector especially) and are japaing to foreign land for greener pastures. This alone is leaving behind the chaffs for Nigeria to contend with. You BATist are not seeing this things because your brains have been covered by tribalism and religious stupidity. You can't build a great nation as we behave in Nigeria! undecided
