I have friends dat joined through recruit and have tried several times to convert to commission officer all to no avail.... Even after bagging his bachelor's degree....

True, people from that axis end up in Borno. There are many deployed and forgotten in the deep field on Borno such as Damboa, Ngala, Dikwa, Monguno, Pulka, Baga, Guzamala, Marte, Gwoza, Kukawa, Rann, Konduga etc. Most of them have been there for over 5 years without seeing their family.

Also speaking, Danagogo commended the army for its interest in recruiting Rivers people into the service and called on the youth to come out in their numbers to join them.

He said the state government would immediately start sensitisation campaign to encourage the people to join the ongoing army recruitment.

The SSG attributed the low turnout of the people in the recruitment exercises over the years to ignorance and lack of information.

“As a government, we look forward to every avenue to empower and gainfully employ our people

“One area we feel that we are being marginalised is in the enrolment of our citizens into the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) to become officers,” he said.

Until posting is back to your state,no south south or south east should join the army now.most of our people are always posted to far north, while northerners are posted to south.Even police mobile force is still doing same thing.Must everything favour the north more than other part of the country.Time is coming when all this cheating will end.

No be small thing, some of them don't look normal again.One urhobo guy committed suicide around 2018 out of frustration.He have been in operation for over 6yrs,no leave no transfer.
