Despite following Jesus for more than 3 years Peter the apostle was still a Jewish zealot until Jesus' death. The believe of all Jews back then and now is that they will fight alongside the Christ to save their city that's why they wanted to make Jesus their King by force {John 6:15} so until Jesus' death Peter was anticipating a day Jesus will lead them to war against all their enemies!  1 Like 1 Share |
