Yorubas are very funny people and inherently self centered. Same Awolowo wanting to keep Lagos in the Western Region, supported the separation of Port Harcourt from then Eastern Region into the so-called region known as SS today.

Yorubas should understand the effects of politics of separation. Had Lagos been separated from Western Region, the owners of Lagos aka Aworis, will deny their Yoruba root, not because they don't want to be Yoruba but for political exigency and relevance. Federal government would have supported that like they do with former estaern Region territories, to keep them separated from Igbo and easy to control.

Same way Kwara was separated from Yorubaland and the Yoruba there as a unit, not individuals, do not identify as Yorubas. They identify as the Northerners. Same thing with Port Harcourt, a well know Igbo town, shies away from identifying with Igbo to stay relevant.

Port Harcourt is not an Igbo town. It's an Ikwerre city!

Who are those minorities you are talking about? Philip Effiong was Ojukwu second in command during the Biafra war, maybe you need to check were he came from. asaba massacre come to mind ..... your primitive mind already made you believe you are intelligent.... who does not know your people in Nigeria as a back stabbers? useless set of people grin grin grin
Talk like human being not animal, so if ojukwu had one or two cronies from Calabar, does it mean Calabar people want to join biafra. You people are very dumb mentally...you are the one loitering all parts of Nigeria, you are the Unity beggar, Nnamdi Azikiwe your father is the Chief unity beggar.

Some people actually thought Lagos started in 1960 not knowing that even when Lagos had established its prime place of strategic importance, not even a single member of their tribe and some Nigerian tribes had ever stepped foot in Lagos. Smh.

Below is the Population Statistics Of Lagos British Colony In 1891

The population of Lagos Colony was analysed into 'Yoruba' and 'Non-Yoruba' tribes:

1. Eko tribe had fallen from 57% in 1872 to 23.6% 20 years later.
2. Popo or Egun tribe was 15.85%,

3. Other Yoruba groups
Oyo - 11.6%
Ijebu - 11.01%
Awori - 9.26%
Egba - 6.05%
Ijesha - 4.32%
Egbado - 3.63%
Ekiti/Efon people - 1.76%

4. Non-Yoruba groups
Nupe/Tapa - 1.86%
Hausa - 1.86%
The Kru - 1.37%.

The strength of the Eko tribe was concentrated in Wards A, B, C and D of Lagos Town and Harbour, and the Central District of Ebute Metta/Yaba.

The Aworis were concentrated in the Central District and the Popo's or Egun in the Western District.

You mean the same Igbos you fought tooth and nail to keep in your one Nigeria? most of you are suffering from mental problem

Azikiwe fought tooth and nail to keep you people in one Nigeria. He removed secession clause from the Nigerian constitution.

Don't blame any yoruba for keeping you in Nigeria, the blame is on your fore fathers because they thought in their shallow mind that the gods has given them Nigeria to rule.

How many Yoruba in Ilorin (and Kwara state at large) have you interviewed that brought your conclusion that they don't want to identify as Yoruba.

Even the Yorubas in Brazil, Togo, Cuba e.t.c. will boldly identify as Yoruba.

Some people are good at creating "their facts" from tin air, based on their emotion rather than being realistic.

People in Ilorin speaks rustic Yoruba and have Yoruba culture and traditions deeply rooted in everything they do.

Not an inch of Yorubaland will fall into the hands of outsiders.

So you mean once one person from an ethnic group believes in something, the rests are automatically in.

Ojukwe is land grabber and a thief, common sense should tell him that he needs to do referendum for those innocent people who are not speaking same language as him if at all he is a responsible man.
Did anybody conduct referendum before Nigeria was created? Ojukwu had discussions with several people drawn from several ethnic groups before Biafra was declared. An Ijaw man suggested the name Biafra.
You bloody scar faced yorubas are a treacherous lots.

Lagos was the former federal capital from 1900- 1991. During this period Nigeria spent billions of dollars of oil boom on Lagos as the federal capital not for any particular tribe but for the whole Nigeria. A lot of people were relocated to Lagos by compulsion back then because whether you were a civil servant or banker then, head quarters in whole Nigeria was in Lagos , from transfers to all FG board and parastatals meetings happened in Lagos as capital. Lagos represents the beauty of one Nigeria where anybody from any tribe can go, be fruitful and multiply…Whether you come from Rivers or Benue or Anambra or Kaduna etc Lagos belongs to all Nigerians because we are one Nigeria

Lagos is still Yorubaland 100%

And Oil was discovered in 1956

When Ojukwu had this Biafran discussion with Isaac Adaka Boro and his Niger Delta Republic colleagues what did they tell him?

They told him to get out and get lost

So why didn’t Ojukwu suggest for an independent Referendum of the

Eastern Minorities before kidnapping them into his doomed from the Start Biafra?

Ha ha! Awolowo did a lot for the Yoruba race. Present and coming generations should toe the line of this legend.

Only Sunday igboho is doing that now! Land matter is a very serious one and should be treated as such.

This is the comment and speech of all Awolowo about Lagos that threatened the British when there were plans by the British in connivance with Zik to carve out Lagos permanently from Yorubaland.

He said and I quote "Lagos will have to be separated from the dead bodies of Yoruba patriots in the Action group" if the British do not stop their agenda to de-Yorubanize Lagos.
if not be say dem be mumu. How do you carve out Lagos when its completely surrounded by Ogun state. It's like trying to carve out London out of the England.

Yorubas unionism and togetherness which several evil people have tried to destroy is based on the effort of the Ikene (Ijebu Remo) man called Awolowo.

And the reason he used amala and gbegiri to swallow that rat poison in his underground dungeon was because these same people hailing him on this thread (or their ancestors) were the ones who betrayed and abandoned him in prison grin
