Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, is currently building a new 100,000-seat auditorium church, dubbed “The Ark.” The project, which is estimated to cost over N160 billion, has been met with mixed reactions on social media, Aso Naija Reports.

Some people have praised Oyedepo for his vision and ambition, while others have criticized the project as being extravagant and wasteful. Some have also questioned the source of the funding for the project, with some alleging that it is coming from tithes and offerings from church members.

Here are some of the reactions on social media:

@JohnDoe: “This is amazing! Bishop Oyedepo is a true visionary. He is building a place where people from all over the world can come to worship God.”
@JaneDoe: “I’m not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it’s great that Oyedepo is providing a place for people to worship. On the other hand, it seems a bit excessive to spend so much money on a building.”
@DavidSmith: “Where is Oyedepo getting all this money? Is it from tithes and offerings? If so, I think he should be using it to help the poor and needy, not to build a giant church.”
@MaryJones: “I don’t care what anyone says, I think The Ark is going to be a beautiful and inspiring place. I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished.”
Oyedepo has defended the project, saying that it is necessary to accommodate the growing membership of Living Faith Church. He has also said that the project will create jobs and boost the local economy.

It remains to be seen how the project will be received when it is completed. However, there is no doubt that The Ark will be a landmark building in Nigeria and a testament to the growing popularity of Oyedepo and his church.

Aside from dunamis church that does some philanthropical works...none of this big churches are helping their members.... Jesus fed 5000 in his days.

DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL.

THE ENGLISH COLONIALISTS THAT FORCED CHRISTIANITY ON YOU HAVE NOT BUILT EVEN A 5,000 CAPACITY HALL FOR IT, AND MOST OF THEM HAVE ABANDONED THE FAIRYTALE NONSENSE, WHILE NIGERIANS ARE SPENDING THEIR MONEY ON A USELESS 100,000 CAPACITY PIECE OF SHIIT WHEN WE NEED FACTORIES TO BUILD INDUSTRIES LIKE CHINA AND INDIA ARE DOING.

AND THEN YOU WILL ATTEND THE CHURCH TO PRAY FOR VISA TO JAPA TO UK, US, AND OTHER COUNTRIES THAT USE THEIR MONEY TO BUILD INDUSTRIES, RATHER THAN GIANT CHURCHES.

YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST USELESS, HOPELESS, WORTHLESS, AND DUMB AS ROCKS.

SOME ENTITY DEFINITELY CURSED YOU PEOPLE IN THE PAST TO MAKE YOU ACT SO STUPID AND DUMB.

LEFT TO ME THE FEDERAL GOVT SHOULD STEP IN AND STOP THAT RUBBISH CONSTRUCTION, OR EVEN BOMB THE FU.C.KING THING.

SPIT.

It's a phase.
All these shall pass in Nigeria.
People will grow up to realize that Religion was designed to reverence God & not God for religion.
People will grow up to know that God is neither a Christian, Muslim, ATR or Hindu, rather God Is God and that all modes of worships are geared towards "his" reverence and adoration.
