A former Commissioner in Ogun State, Author and politician, Alhaji Suleiman Adebodun Onabiyi is dead. He transited on Sunday 22nd of October as the family confirmed his death.

The elder statesman was known for his grassroots politics and a philanthropist to his community and beyond which earned him a book entitled, "Prince of the Grassroots" a biography of Chief Suleiman ONABIYI Okanlomo of Egbaland.

According to the family statement: "With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved patriarch. Alhaji Suleiman Onabiyi. He has embarked on his journey from mortality to immortality, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. This obituary is a tribute to his remarkable life.

Alhaji Suleiman Onabiyi was a man of unparalleled character, an embodiment of wisdom and a pillar of strength for his family. His life was a testament to the values of integrity, kindness and selflessness. He touched the lives of those around him in profound ways.

A free thinker and a selfless soul, he consistently placed the needs of his family at the forefront. He was the guiding light of our lives, offering wisdom and unwavering support to his loved ones.

In the realm of politics, Alhaji Suleiman Onabiyi was a true statesman. He dedicated himself to the service of his community, exhibiting exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to his principles. His legacy in the political arena will be remembered and celebrated.

Blessed by the Almighty Allah, Alhaji Suleiman Onabiyi’s spirit was refined and purified. He possessed a heart of gold, radiating kindness, compassion and generosity to all who crossed his path. His love and warmth were boundless, and his presence brought joy and comfort to his family.
