Nigeria Is No Longer Africa Biggest Economy Now Second by Alphabyte2: 2:04pm On Oct 27, 2023 |
It seems that South Africa has overtaken Nigeria as Africa's largest economy, based on the South Africa JSE exchange at $1.36 trillion while Nigeria NGX is at $25 billion dollars . South Africa's GDP is projected to reach $401 billion in 2024, while Nigeria's GDP is expected to be $395 billion. This indicates a shift in economic power between the two countries. It's worth noting that the exchange rate between the South African rand and the Nigerian naira has changed as well, with 1 rand now equal to 40.36 naira, compared to 25 naira during the Buhari era. 2 Likes |
