Reports have it that imo state have the highest number of brothels in Nigeria.
The brothels in imo state is higher in numbers than brothels in other states in Nigeria: Imolites ( imo state people) are dieing everyday from the insecurities cause by increasing numbers of brothels in imo state.

The increase in missing girls around Nigeria today is attributed to the rising numbers of brothels in imo state: underage girls are kidnapped from other states in Nigeria and are trafficked into imo state to participate in force prostitution and are used as human organs harvesting.

Brothels In Imo state have brought all forms of criminality into the state and organize criminal syndicate have taken over imo state by kidnapping students of tertiary institution in the state and forcing them into prostitution thereby violating the fundamental human rights of this students who are mainly students of universities, polytechnics, college of education, college of nurses, and even students of secondary and primary schools: the rate of human trafficking, sex traffickering and human organs traffickering in imo state is alarming and calls for concern from all well meaning Nigerians.

The imo state government need to take drastic steps to tackle this criminal increase of brothels in imo state, which is endangering the residents of imo state and causing insecurity to increase rapidly.

It is reported that areas were brothels are located in Imo state, the residents of those areas are complaining of noise pollution, regular fighting, robbery, gangsterism clashing, kidnapping, murder cases, missing persons, corpse of dead people littering around the areas, smoking of the marijuana, intake of cocaine and other hard drugs, raping, molestation and other criminal cases been reported to security operatives and residents of those areas.

Nigerians need to call upon the imo state government to act faster and shut down all brothels in imo state so the people of imo state can sleep with their two eyes closed at night without any fears from insecurities cause by brothels and prostitution.
