The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has narrated how the defunct National Working Committee of the party under Alhaji Abbah Kawu was submerged in an avoidable crisis that led to its dissolution.

Recall the NNPP ratified the dissolution of the Abba Kawu Ali-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the party in a communique issued at the end of the BoT meeting held at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos on Friday, September 28.

The revelations were made by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulrazaq.

He also said that the centre may not hold again due to porsity of fund and notable neglect of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

"Senator Kwankwaso who is alleged to have insisted that he was not a party to the purported expulsion of the founder of NNPP, Dr Aniebonam may have told the leadership of the defunct NWC members to go and resolve the matter as they started.

"It is even alleged that the particular day the defunct Alhaji Abbah Kawu-led NWC went to the house of senator Kwankwaso to inform him of their decision to suspend the founder of NNPP, he (Senator Kwankwaso) ordered them to leave his house and went upstairs in anger.

"The defunct NWC members there and then became confused and ashamed of themselves and left the house dejected. They heaped the blame on themselves and one Prince Onu Nweze, the then national vice chairman from Southeast, precisely Ebonyi state. He was alleged to be the brain behind their ill-advised action.

"As it stands now, the likes of Barrister Johnson Ladipo, Prince Onu Nweze, Elder Buba Galadima, Alhaji Abbah Kawu, Dr Stanley Ijeh are not talking to the media any longer having realised their avoidable mistakes.

"Indeed the position of senator KWANKWASO is clear and unambiguous. Governor Abbah Gida is busy with governance in Kano and the legislators of NNPP are busy with legislative functions at the state and national assembly."

Abdulsalam also disclosed that Dr Gilbert Agbo Major-led NWC and the board chairman Dr Tko Aluko are busy mobilising funds to sustain the new administration.

"Att the moment, all the six geopolitical structures of the party are being activated and made to be functional with a befitting party Headquarters office situated in Abuja.

"South-West, South-East and North-West have been effectively activated, the North Central, North-East and South-South are following up in the next three weeks.

"Equally, senior advocates and other lawyers have been engaged in Abuja, Kano, Anambra, Rivers, Katsina, Niger, Ogun, Ekiti etc to deal with judicial matters and INEC perspective. This is merely and basically to normalise and stamp the authority of the board decisions expelling the defunct NWC members led by Abbah Kawu.

"As we move on ahead of 2027 general election, a new hope for Nigeria shall be the platform of the New Nigeria People's Party holding the 4th position in Nigeria.

"Meanwhile, we want to encourage our gubernatorial candidates in Imo and Kogi states to continue to work hard ahead of the elections.

"We stand with Kano State Governor as he pursues his case at the appeal court."
