Officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission conducted a midnight raid on hostels situated outside the Obafemi Awolowo University campus in Ile-Ife, Osun State, resulting in the reported arrest of more than 70 students.

According to multiple sources in Ile-Ife, the officials arrived at around 2 a.m. and forcefully entered rooms at the Fine Touch and Superb hostels in Oduduwa Estate, Ile-Ife, where they apprehended the students.
Some of the students relay the trauma on Whatsapp chats circulated on the social media.
