Updates on the Al-Aqsa Flood operation presented in this episode of Samri Channel.
Starting with the Israeli occupation army, which announced the killing of Salman Habka, commander of the 53rd Battalion of the 188th Barak Brigade, during the battle in the northern Gaza Strip, as this is the highest position in the army whose death is recognized by Israel, according to what the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz announced. The Israeli army indicated that during the fighting between the ground forces of the Israeli army and Hamas fighters until Wednesday night, he led the plot of his armored unit, but was killed afterwards.

Salman Habka is a Druze officer. He was one of the first officers to arrive in the south on October 7, and he fought intense battles with Hamas fighters, which led to the killing of dozens of resistance members. He published a video clip sent from the field, in which he described his unit’s first encounters in the battle, saying: To victory... We have no other choice but victory, according to the American newspaper The Journal Post. Earlier, the Israeli army said that its forces killed four prominent Hamas activists as part of its expanded ground operations in the Gaza Strip, and they are: Jamil Baba, commander of the naval forces in the Central Brigade of the Hamas movement, Muhammad Al-Safadi, commander of the anti-tank missile unit, and Momen. Hegazy, a senior activist in Hamas's anti-tank missile unit, and Muhammad Awadallah, a senior official in Hamas' production department.

On the other hand, American officials said that the United States has intelligence information indicating that the Wagner Group, the Russian paramilitary group, may provide an air defense system to Lebanese Hezbollah. According to the American Wall Street Journal, the system in question is the SA-22, which uses anti-aircraft missiles and air defense missiles to intercept aircraft. One US official said that Washington has not yet confirmed sending the defense system, but is monitoring discussions involving Wagner and Hezbollah and that the potential delivery is a major concern. The United States deployed an aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean to try to deter Hezbollah from opening a northern front against Israel. Wagner has employees in Syria, where Hezbollah fighters are also present.

Finally, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said, "Israel has no right to self-defense in the current conflict because it is an occupying state." Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, during his speech before the emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly on Palestine on Wednesday, indicated that the United Nations does not have the right to give Israel an absolute mandate to carry out a ground operation in Gaza. Nebenzia stressed his country's call to stop the bloodshed in the Middle East in order to avoid expanding the scope of the crisis to the entire region, and to work on a diplomatic solution to it.

“First, it is necessary to stop the bloodshed and prevent the crisis from sweeping the entire region, otherwise the conflict will never stop,” he said. Nebenzia continued: “We call for allowing the mediators to work on finding a diplomatic solution, including the rapid release of detainees,” according to the Russia Today website. He added: "Sooner or later, this path (a diplomatic solution) will have to be taken, but the question is how many innocent people will die during this time." He also stressed that "Israel has no right to self-defense in the current conflict because it is an occupying state."
