The Federal Government of Nigeria is using Civil Defense, EFCC and other Security Agencies to clamp down on Illegal Miners & Mineral Traders who do not possess the required permits to buy & trade on minerals.

It is for the above reason that I bring this information to educate those concerned.

8 Requirements to Obtain Permit to Purchase & Possess Minerals

1. The qualified applicant for the issuance of a License to Purchase and Possess Minerals shall be a Body Corporate duly incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matter Act.

2. Certificate of Incorporation

3. Three (3) years Tax Clearance Certificate

4. An attestation of non conviction of a criminal offence

5. Bank Reference

6. Evidence of Source of supply

7. Evidence of technical competent person

8. Payment of prescribed fee
