What's The Government Doing About the rapid increase of Sport Betting? by KiNg0G: 8:40pm On Nov 11, 2023
I just don't understand what's the government doing about this that's destroying lives of the youth on a daily basis. Every social media I enter always see the youth lamenting, sporty bet this and sporty bet that. To the extent some of them have even committed suicides, because of loss and false hope yet the government has refused to say anything about this.

Is it that they receive tax from this betting companies?

I visited a friend this afternoon to my surprise he has sold everything he has in his living room, tv, home theater, fridge and even standing fan just to squader on sport betting yet nothing came out. I was so surprised that tears nearly came out from my eyes this is someone I look up to that if I call him he can send me 50k urgently without thinking it twice. Now he can't even afford his daily meal and he's contemplating suicide as I speak.

This has destroyed a lot of lives and yet the government of the people haven't said anything about it at all. Should we protest first or riot!..or should more youth die.

Please government help us

Collecting taxes, that's what the government is doing about it. Don't you know that betting helps the government to raise hoodlums used for electoral malpractice?

Sports betting is a thing of choice just like alcohol and patronising prostitutes

The government should establish places where all this can take place well
Just like las Vegas

Generate taxes and build the economy

If Saudi, UAE and Qatar was really upholding shariah laws do you think they would develop

You have to create places for people to do their nonsense and generate income

Nigerian government has done more damage. So should we ban Nigeria government?

I dey play bet. Any movement against betting company, I declare FIRE!!

There are many actions that one should do in moderation and responsibly. You attack Hisbah police for banning alcohol but you want sports betting to be banned, is that not hypocrisy? Alcohol in moderation won't make your life useless. Blame the players that don't know when to bow out. How can you carry your school fees to play bet? No be madness be that?

Prostitution exist in Dubai, I will not deny with this fact. Every women sex worker visit Dubai meet anyone it’s with her own consent. I have been to many cities in the world where prostitutes / sex workers are escorting like Europe, USA and Asia believe me Every where you will find human trafficking, gangs, Stupid Agents dealing this industry. Thanks to the authorities in Dubai here no gang is operating who’s involved in trafficking. Dubai one of the safest place on earth for tourist and residents. Still i am not defending prostitute should exist yes it’s 100% illegal in Dubai but if a women meet with any men with her own consent what ever happens in between that time it’s depend on both individual either they do sex or just a discussion or a coffee date and there is no harm if one is paying to other for the time. Again big thanks to UAE news laws like living together without marriage, Couple can hotel check-in together if even not married and gradually the laws are getting easier when it comes to meeting a men with women.

Abu Dhabi does not have prostitutes working the streets and the few there are in bars are usually fairly unobtrusive. Prostitution, although prohibited, is prevalent and easily accessible in Dubai. Women engaged in this business operate in brothels or massage establishments situated in the city's red-light areas. However, it is not only women, but also men who offer their services in the city.
