The Offa Youths Council (OYC) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau and Mr. Abdulmutalib A. Shittu on their recent appointments by Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak.

Dr. Salau will serve as the Special Adviser on Education, while Mr. Shittu has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Geographical Information Service.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of OYC, Mr Nasir Samad Tomide on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

He said, "Offa Youths Council under the able leadership of Aare Musbau Olalekan Olaniyi, who doubles as Chief Aare Bobajiroro of Offa land, wishes to congratulate the duo of Adetola Ariyike Salau, PhD and Mr Abdulmutalib A. Shittu on their recent appointments by Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak.

"OYC lauds the appointments and describes the putting a round peg in a round hole. The appointments were made in recognition of their outstanding expertise and unwavering commitment to service in their respective fields.

"The Offa Youths Council also commends Governor Abdulrazak for his choice of individuals who possess remarkable skills and a deep understanding of the challenges facing their sectors.

"The Offa Youths Council, led by its President, Aare Musbau Olalekan Olaniyi, also seizes the opportunity to appeal to the newly appointed advisers to consider the Kwara needs and aspirations.

"We enjoin them to emphasize the importance of developing youth-centric policies and initiatives that will empower the younger generation to contribute meaningfully to the state's development."

The council further urged indigenes and residents of Kwara State to rally behind Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau and Mr. Abdulmutalib A. Shittu, as they embark on their respective assignments.

It thereafter encouraged the state to provide necessary support and constructive feedback, ensuring the success of the education sector reforms and advancements in the geographical information service.
