orisa37:A constitution designed to favor him when he transits from military rule as head of state to civilian rule with him as president. This is why the presidents from 1999 seem untouchable. If you like take them to court, the issue will linger in court and finally become stale on the coming of another administration. Thanks to the constitution that was made intentionally to include technical loopholes that would be for the purpose of Abacha exploiting. Now this same constitution is favoring others in power, they are not ready to ammend them because of the gratification they gain from it while in power. Analysed under the influence of colos 1 Like |

Jokerman: But these funds are not just given to the FG. They are allocated to specific projects. So the question should be what are these projects and were they ever completed? |

gssdobi: They'll never do that because it does not favour the west to do so. It was looted then into their economy and they're probably giving back part of the profit they made from loaning us the looted money. Now, they know it'll most likely be looted again and it might still end up in their country for another round of loaning for profit. So if they remove it from our loan they'll not get to make new profit from the loot. 1 Like |

Racoon: Same way he appointed ministers without checking on what the do or not do resulting to heavy looting. Yet he believes all his ministers are not fraudulent. Nigerians should better stop voting integrity that leads smart ministers taking the advantage. Match madness with madness. |

History is not about facts but about context and the story teller. To the white man, Mongo Park discovered the River Niger but to those living at the banks, they wonder! How can someone discover their home for them? That is the context and story teller thing. Now based on what was happening at the time of Abacha regime ( the sanctions and frozen of Nigeria's account by the US and others), Abacha instituted a plan to circumvent those sanctions by transferring funds owned by Nigeria to accounts of individuals and his too (verifiable facts). When he died, most of this individuals took the money as their own and Nigeria suffered for it. Good intentions though but it boomeranged on everyone except those that escaped with the money. It was said that Abiola was also among those that collect this funds but turned around and used it to contest elections. That was why the military refused to handover. |

Jokerman:He and his family stole a whopping 4.4 billion USD! That Sani Abacha guy was a real thief who used the CBN as a conduit for moving stolen Nigerian money into his offshore bank accounts in Europe and the Caribbean. This is why I have always insist that calling for military rule in 2023 by some younger ignorant folks and trolls online and offline as highly asinine. 1 Like 2 Shares |
