So common algae could make an aircraft skid off the runaway? If that's the case, planes skidding off the runaway would have been every day occurrences all over the world.

That presence of algae on the Runway should be investigated, though most incidents of Aircraft skidding off runway are caused by human error or bad weather.

NCAA, FAAN, NSIB and the aviation ministry should immediately carry out a comprehensive investigation of all the commercial aircraft in the country and put in all the necessary safety measures. They should not wait till the occurrence of a fatal accident before taking action.

Pilot error. The aircraft's landing speed was probably over the recommended limit and the pilot should have initiated a go around instead of forcing it down.

This is the third near miss in a month. If something happens now tomorrow (God forbid) they will say it's unavoidable. Why do planes keep having issues with landing or takeoff. This is not normal. FAAN is putting people's life at risk without addressing this. What is really happening?

I read it but i think that account is nothing but a cover up. They are putting the blame on algae on the runway as if other aircrafts don't land on the same runway without skidding. It is obvious the pilot didn't follow the proper landing procedures.
