"General Buhari said that it took a while before the FEC was constituted because they had to do a deep search for competent Nigerians. He said that the ministers would be held responsible for the success or failure of policies and programmes in their ministries." So this act didn't start today. The days of Dr. Onaolapo Soleye and others as Federal Ministers. Ah! That's the iconic Sola Omole of NTA Network News reading the late night news in January 1984. Sola Omole later left NTA in 1985 and worked for Chevron Nigeria Ltd, the American multinational oil and gas company as a Senior Public Relations executive in the Public Affairs Unit of the company. He's now 72 year of age as of 2023! How time flies. Great thread! |
