The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation made a remarkable impact on Saturday as they extended their philanthropic efforts towards empowering persons with disabilities (PWDs) through a grant given to the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) in Offa and Oyun local government areas of Kwara State.

The grant provided by the MOK Foundation aims to support small business growth and startups, with a specific focus on PWDs in the region. Recognizing the immense potential and abilities within the disability community, the foundation aims to promote economic independence and empower its members.

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) expressed their gratitude to the MOK Foundation for their generosity and commitment to the empowerment of PWDs, as this grant brings renewed hope and opportunities for many individuals.

Speaking at the grant presentation at Ansar-Ud-Deen Junior Secondary School at Orita Merin, Mr. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, the founder of MOK Foundation, emphasized the importance of equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their physical limitations.

Mr. Okunlola Kayode who was duly represented by messrs Moshood Tewogbola, Nurudeen Mohammed and Saheed Lawal, said disability should never be a barrier to success. He also expressed his committed to creating an inclusive society where PWDs can flourish in their businesses and contribute to the economic growth of the community.

The funds provided by the MOK Foundation will be utilized to support various business initiatives undertaken by PWDs, including the establishment of small businesses, acquiring necessary equipment and supplies, and providing necessary training and mentorship. Through this endeavour, the foundation aims to foster sustainable and self-sufficient businesses among PWDs in Offa and Oyun local government areas.

The grant will not only create viable economic opportunities for PWDs but also help eradicate stigmas associated with disabilities within the community. By supporting their entrepreneurial ventures, the MOK Foundation seeks to inspire other organizations and individuals to invest in building an inclusive society that recognizes the talents and potential of all its members.
