So yesterday I received the BIGGEST public event DISGRACE of my life. 😭😞

I was on my own o... jejely planning my weekend and how I'll be at home to rest after just recovering from Malaria & cough...

I sha told him I may cancel the event as I wasn't feeling too fine. And Boss complained about me disappointing as he already told me a week earlier about it.

Omo... me I wasn't in a party mood.

I have my rent & poor sales to worry about.
I was in no mood for partying in Lagos.

But then my 2nd mind was also reminding me how lit the parties always were.

So the event got me thinking, why did I behave like that and how could I have avoided such an embarrassing situation in future.

The only answer that came to my mind is - work harder. Earn better. Hustle better


And the only way forward is to leave this country because earning in NGN as a business owner is like hustling backwards.

On top this ₦1million e get normal expenses wey I suppose make wey go make that goods multiple to like 2.4m after sales.

I'm talking about fixed expenses such as:

₦300k/month Online Advertising
₦200k - clearing of goods when it comes in
₦120k - delivery cost for the entire goods

Sum = ₦600k (future expenses)
I never even chop o!

So by the time goods land and I clear it and push it out for sales using paid adverts how on earth it's possible for a Small Medium Enterprise owner that runs on credits to make enough gains and come out with profits after sales & expenses?


Especially now that all our efforts are being wiped out clean by the current loss of value of the NGN against the USD.

What dis means is that, even if I put in all the gains I made from the sale of the 1million naira goods without touching 1 naira I still won't be able to afford the same quantity of goods my 1 million bought the last time.


BECAUSE when you minus the expenses of making the sale and compare what's left you'll be at a loss.

Now, imagine what'll happen if you have a bad day maybe your advert accounts didn't perform well. Or you didn't sell off in a week.

You will simply eat into your business working capital and you'll be back to Level 1 like you didn't do shit the last time 🤔🤔

It got me thinking the only viable option I got was to leave this country or find a way of earning in USD, RMD, CAD, or Euros man.


Because the way I dey see my life now ...

I see my life as if I'm driving a car doing 80mph on a road under construction 🚧🚧 and I match brake to slow down but notice say brake no dey catch.

Na so I dey see my life now.

But when the matter too much for my head I go remember say e get people wey I better pass x1000 times.

To be honest, the future is bleak mehn for the NGN

And that is mildly putting it because the right thing to say is, "there is no hope for the NGN against the USD" in the nearest future.


Mathematical we're hustling backwards earning in NGN against the USD.

We keep taking their Trojan horse loans only to give away our crude for almost free.

It's like small pikin something.

My worry is why isn't Nigerians saying anything about ending this crazy crude lifting and re-importing refined prdts back and then .. having us buy it off because we're already in debt after the oil merchants subtract the cost of lifting it and refining ?
