These are my points too, God bless you
Freshtruth:
is your local coaches doing well? Olympic we no go under17 worldcup we no go, caf champions league we no go last worldcup we no qualifier, super league they just played our club enyimba was rated last position. All these teams are coach by local coach, let me remind you back to back nation cup 2015 and 2017 we didn't qualify these local coaches were in charge. If after seeing this you still screaming Local coaches then u need brain check. U are screaming Senegal have u check who is cisse assistant a foreigner have u check who is their physio a foreigner, have u check who is their Goalkeeper trainer a foreigner. If u like call me white man slave na u sabi. If Nigeria league have like 5 foreign coaches in it u will see improvement in the league and go far in caf champions league. Pisto of south Africa won't be a bad idea for Nigeria national team

I really don't understand the essence of the NFF at this point. I think the Super Eagles are just a waste of resources. They should just dissolve the squad and let only the Falcons represent us on the international stage. The Super Eagles are never going to win anything. Let the boys just focus on playing for their respective clubs and having multiple baby mamas all around the world as they typically do.

This comment shows you are brain dead.

The foolish NFA chairman sign a coach because he will corner over 70% of contract sum to his pocket instead of employing local coaches that are beta for 1/5 of the salary of Pazero but you said nothing of of bigotry now the chic as come home to roast you are blaming a govt that knows nothing about the whole situayout of bigotry n foolishness.

God1000:
Such lame and flimsy excuses, government can buy SUV cars worth billions of naira and other mundane things but they don't have money to hire a competent a coach

GanagiBitrus:

You have valid points but the bone of contention here is lack of funds to pay Peseiro. So Encouraging & supporting our ex-internationals for the job won't be a bad idea.

They are currently not paying him yet expect him to deliver

We’re not happy, no money to sack Peseiro – NFF speaks on 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe

A board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Nse Essien, has said they would have sacked head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, if they could afford it.

Essien made this claim in an interview with OJB Sports following their 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe in a 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The result means Peseiro’s men have taken only two points from a possible six, as they also drew 1-1 with Lesotho three days prior.

The performances have led to football fans calling on the NFF to fire Peseiro.

But Essien has explained why it would not be a straightforward decision.

He said: “The Sports Ministry who employed him were supposed to pay for their salaries. But up till now, nothing has been paid.

“If we sack the coaches now, who will pay compensation?

“Not a dime has been paid yet to this coach who earns about $70,000 a month.

“We have to respect Jose Peseiro’s contract.

“If we had the money to give to him (pay him off) we are going to relieve him. We are not happy.”

These guys are fools. Wasn't it just recently they renewed his contract even after he had woeful performances with the super eagles. Nigerians were even shouting to their voices that this coach's contract shouldn't be renewed in view of his disastrous performances with the eagles yet this stupid NFF still went ahead and renewed it with juicy exit clauses that favoured the man, and just see the mess they have gotten themselves and the nation into. I just feel this NFF board should be sacked entirely!

Stupid people.

Aside the fact that the coach is a grade z coach, he is owed months of salaries, and these idiots expect performance.

If we miss the next world cup, it would not be funny at all. The U-17 world cup is ongoing, but we are not even there. Nothing to give us any joy in the midst of this economic hardship.
