Welcome once more to netpages online short course:
Today we would be Creating a simple Button.

Creating your first button.

Create a new document using File> New

On creation, a pop up window come up, enter 500 * 500 as your width and height. for the first work.

Click Ok.
A white blank background comes up.

Understanding the environment,

Firework tools are divided into;

Select Tool:  For selection and it is located at the top.

Bitmap Tool: For on any graphics that is imported in fireworks. eg. Picture and iamges.

Vector Tool: Contains tools like rectangles, circle, stars etc. Use for creating objects.

Webtool: working on web object.

The Button.

Click the black select tool and select rectangle in the vector tool bar. Drag the rectangle over the background and release. A rectangle comes up.

Highlight the rectangle & hit F8 and select button in the window pop-up, and click ok.

A button is created, double click on the button on the stage.

You would be directed to a new window. Draw your down and over states or simply click on copy over graphic at the right corner, and change color for diff. states.

Lastly, click done.

Preview ur work by clicking on F12.
