Between the 30th of October and the 9th of November, we held training sessions for enumerators in three (3) regional zones in Nigeria, namely: Southwest, southeast and northwest.

The team leads, who are experts in socio-economic surveys, extensively trained the enumerators on the study objectives, the research methodology, and data collection using CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview).

The enumerators have a crucial mission: to identify the skills and knowledge needs of women-led SMEs and major Nigerian and French agro-industrial groups operating in Nigeria. Additionally, they will highlight and describe the impact of gender barriers in enrolling women in technical schools’ agricultural programs, and in recruiting for apprenticeship positions in agrifood companies.

This private sector mapping and skills gap analysis exercise will allow WATEA and partner technical schools to co-design training programs that respond to the needs of the private sector and significantly increase the employability of the students.
