Alhaji Fatai J. Imam, the coordinator of Kwankwasiyya Movement in Kwara State has enjoined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure rule of law is upheld in Kano state.

Imam observed that indications are tilting towards politics in play in the legal tussle over Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's election.

He said it is imperative for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led and His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to steadfastly adhere to the democratic process that led to the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

According to him, upholding the sanctity of elections is crucial to averting potential political crises and fostering a resilient democratic foundation.

He said, "adherence to the electoral outcome is essential for promoting national unity. Acknowledging the results of the election reinforces the idea that every citizen's vote matters and contributes to the collective voice of the nation. This inclusivity is fundamental in maintaining the fabric of a diverse and democratic society.

"It is important for His Excellency to know the ideals of Kwakwasiyya Movement. Fighting Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso rather than supporting the ideaology to succeed to bring succour to people of Kano State and beyound is inimical for develeopment.

"Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State is a core ardent believer and supporter of the Kwankwasiyya Ideology. And this is evident in his strides in office. The public secondary schools got an offset for their WAEC Fees. He also cleared the increased school fees of Kano students in Bayero University Kano. Gov. Abba Kabir has reopened all the tertiary institutions closed by Abdullahi Ganduje-led administration. Governor Abba's budget of 350billion is reflective of the Abuja Declaration on Heath and UNESCO Education support.

"Gov Abba does not leave the health sector alone. Pregnant women are now finding it easy to access quality healthcare, Sir Sanusi Hospital is currently undergoing renovation, children hospital is being brought to life after it was wrongly sold off by past administration. These are among notable projects by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

"Abba Kabir Yusuf is always in the news for the good reasons.

"Even the immediate past governor of Kano, Gov. Abdullahi Umar was a member of Kwankwasiyya for over two decades. On this (Kwankwasiyya) Mandate, he was made Deputy Governor, Head of Chad Basin, Techinical Assistant, and two-term Governor of Kano."

Alhaji Fatai Imam thereafter said that upholding the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is not merely a matter of political protocol but a crucial step in preserving the stability and unity of Nigeria.

"The Federal Government's commitment to democratic principles and the rule of law will serve as a beacon, reassuring citizens of the resilience of the democratic process and its ability to withstand challenges, thereby averting potential political crises."

Kwankwasiyya is a political and social movement associated with Rabiu Kwankwaso, a Nigerian politician, former minister and governor of Kano State. The movement and its ideology are named after Kwankwaso, and it gained prominence particularly during his tenure as governor.

"The Kwankwasiyya movement is known for its emphasis on infrastructure development, education, and poverty alleviation. Kwankwaso's administration in Kano State was marked by the implementation of various projects and programs aimed at improving the lives of the people."
