IFHA: Stakeholders Brainstorm on Curbing Poverty, Malnutrition, Hunger through Global Food Security and Hospitality.

On Friday, October 27, 2023, the International Food Heroes Agency (IFHA) hosted its annual conference on Food Security, Nutrition, and Hospitality, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. However, numerous challenges impede our progress. From the disruptions caused by climate change to inadequate infrastructure and limited access to nutritious food, these obstacles demand our collective attention.

The conference was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals from various sectors that make up the food industry, policy makers, government parastatals, and other influential figures. Among the notable attendees were Dr. Ayodeji Fred Mafikuyomi, a serial entrepreneur and the Group Managing Director of Unicorn Holdings Limited; Professor Gbolagade Babalola Ayoola, a distinguished Professor of Agricultural Economics and Policy, who is also the driving force behind the Right to Food Bill in Nigeria; Hon. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, the newly appointed Mandate Secretary for Women and Children Affairs, FCTA, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Dr. Ayuba, the former President of the Abuja Body of Comedians; Mr. Malachy Ukpong, a former Assistant Director of News at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN); Lois Auta, a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, and Founder of Cedar Seed Foundation, among many other dignitaries.

Among the deserving recipients were Chef Onome Sarah, CEO of Saotin Food Factory; Chef Linda Brown, CEO of Calabar Pot; Chef Fatima; Chef Dr. Kelly Sampa (CELEBRITY CHEF); Chef Gloria Noah Abama, CEO of En-knit Concept, and many other distinguished chefs. Additionally, Dr. Ayodeji Fred Mafikuyomi, Professor Gbolagade Babalola Ayoola, Dr. Ayuba, Mr. Malachy Ukpong, and other esteemed fellows were inducted as Board of Directors for the International Food Heroes Agency (IFHA), further cementing their commitment to driving positive change in the food industry.
