How come the indigenous Lagosians don't win since 1999 and they've been contesting?

Yes while that needs to be looked into we still prefer a yoruba from Osun. Don't be deceived.

Lagos as former federal capital territory of Nigeria from 1900- 1991 represents the beauty of one Nigeria. Lagos belongs to no particular tribe but to every Nigerian irrespective of tribe, religion , gender or state . You cannot say you believe in one Nigeria and still say in another breathe another Nigerian should not buy land and develop house in Lagos state . It is hypocrisy and impossible ..You cannot tell a person where to live in Nigeria once they have their money and somebody willing to sell land . Go to lekki, epe etc and see the massive developments worth billions going on as I type this from people with money . You can’t stop a moving ocean. Obasa and co as Nigerian politician is just play with the brains of some shallow minded folks. If you are tired of one Nigeria, fight for Yoruba nation and be ready to spill your blood as that comes with it but for now it remains one Nigeria and Lagos is part of it

The Capital was Lagos Island

The rest of Lagos State was inside Awolowo's Western Region and that is over 95% of today's land mass of Lagos

Nobody says Lagos is not everybody's possession, ( who doesn't like good thing? ). But Lagos is first a Yorubaland, Yoruba and is part southwest Nigeria.

These are obvious facts.

They exposed themselves. These people are honestly greedy. I will rather an Illorin man or Minna than Igbo.

Low self esteem at his best, Lagos does not belong to Yorubas. 99% of you here are not Lagos indigenes

.

Aregbesola who is from Kogi has Governed Osun State twice

Bukola Saraki who was Governor of Kwara Twice is an Egba from Abeokuta

Please first show us any of your Own SE Governors that was a non Indigene of the State he Governed

So we know and are Certain that it is not your divisive Hypocrisy that we are dealing with

Otun of Ekiti who is Traditionally the most powerful and Significant Ekiti Ruler is an Awori Lagos king who migrated to Ekiti
Traditionally he is still the Leader of the Ekiti Parapo Pelu Pelu Towns

If you humble yourself you will learn so much from Yoruba History and Tradition that will greatly benefit even your own People

Gbenga Daniel from Delta State governed Ogun State for 4 years.

What do you mean by trying to reap where they do not sow? Lagos was built by all Nigerians and does not belong to anybody but Nigerians. that childish slogan has expired long ago, south Africa , Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Germany, England, Ogbomo, Ilorin, Ondo and Switzerland in fact the whole world hated them, it only makes you sound steepid grin grin

You can already see their covetousness in action on this thread. They believe Lagos state can get any other tag but not a Yorubaland. On a normal day, we are not moved by their rhetoric, but sometime, it is great to flash the fact in front of narcissist for them to understand.

But for the greedy and covetous actions of the Igbo who want everything and engage in the war, The fear of the north and the need to get the capital to their side and bankrupt Nigeria in the process would not have arisen at the speed that they have done it.

Take responsibility apologise and make amends you refuse.

Only poor Yorubas complain of Igbos in Western Nigeria. Western Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians equally!

The right of a man from Osun state is not different from a Delta man in Lagos. The advantage you have is that more Yorubas are in Lagos however Igbo dominated areas are always won by Igbos or whoever they support.

When electronic transmission and collation is done, then you'd know the importance of the spread Igbos have over Nigeria

Western Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians equally, but Biafra belongs to only Igbos, right? Because Ojukwu and Ekpa even know Biafra boundary, they dare not put Western land as part of Biafra. Be proud of your God given land and let others be proud of theirs in peace. When you were busy dragging Eastern land backward through series of wars, killings and agitations within the tiny land, Western land people were busy investing in peace and offering condusive habitations to foreigners.

You can't plant cassava and expect to harvest pawpaw. Change your tactics to issues at hand, stop chest beating, learn to appreciate your Western bosses with humility and understudy how they grow, learn good things from them and adapt it for your own development. Osun, Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti, Oyo, kwara and okun have more stake in Lagos than how Abia, Imo etc will lay claim to Lagos because they have root from one Ife which serves a strong cord and rope that tie them together.

Unfortunately, Igbos is not tied together with the same ancesoral history and their behaviours in majority incorporate pride, arrogance, get rich quick and stuborness which oppose Omoluabi concept of what yorubas believe. The only way Igbos can be tied to that robe is to drop arrogance, pride, emergency fake riches, chest beating and sturboness. Yorubas are accommodative, they can tie any tribe and region into same robe of progress provided they can drop their arrogance, pride and lack of appreciation whenever need arises.

I dont have time to read your epistle but know that every inch of Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians equally.

Winning elections means you have more people who support you in that locality. It does not mean you have mire right! You have no more right than any Nigerian anywhere in Nigeria even in your village and thats what it means to belong to a country; you sacrifice your land to the country fir protection
