Desmond Akawor Resigns as Rivers PDP Chairman

Ambassador Desmond Akawor has resigned as Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State, following his appointment as Federal Commissioner of Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) representing Rivers State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He has reportedly handed over his position to the Deputy Chairman of Rivers PDP, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron.

Akawor who is an ally of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike was a one time former Ambassador to South Korea and has served the nation in various capacities.
