A beverage company, Ultimum Ltd., producers of Dazzl soft drink, on Monday announced a partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2024 in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Chief Executive Officer, Ultimum Ltd., Mr Austin Ufomba, said this at a media briefing in Lagos.

Ufoma also launched the Razzl Freestyle Football Challenge, offering a cash prize of N1 million and an all-expense trip to AFCON to the winner the challenge.

He also announced Dazzl soft drink as the official drink of AFCON.

Ufomba noted that the AFCON was significant to Africans and the world at large, attracting the highest viewership.

“This partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is a significant milestone for us, underscoring our commitment to refreshing Africa, supporting football on the continent and celebrating the passion and unity that the AFCON embodies.

“Our appreciation to the organisers of AFCON, entrusting us with this extraordinary opportunity. Their dedication to fostering a platform that unites nations and celebrates the talent and fervour of African football is truly commendable.

“The AFCON tournament with over 500 million viewership across the globe has become a very successful asset that ties in well with our brand’s vision and aspirations to become a Pan African brand.

“Our partnership represents more than just a corporate collaboration; it is a commitment to contributing to the growth and development of football in Africa,” he said.

Ufomba noted that as a prelude to the commencement of AFCON, Razzl drink would create an ambience of football artistry that would showcase the ingenuity of Nigerian youths in football.

“As anticipation builds for the highly awaited AFCON 2024 tournament, scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from Jan. 13 to Feb. 11, 2024, Razzl will join the spectacle, excitement, and enthusiasm.

“As part of our commitment, we will also be launching an electrifying Freestyle Football Challenge in tandem with the highly anticipated African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2024 tournament.

“This thrilling initiative aims to celebrate the spirit of soccer and the artistry of Freestyle Football, engaging fans across Africa in a spectacle of skill and creativity.

“The Razzl Freestyle Challenge invites aspiring youthful freestylers, soccer enthusiasts, and artists alike to showcase their flair and finesse through mind-blowing tricks, mesmerising moves, and unique performances inspired by the passion and dynamism of AFCON,” he said.

Ufomba added: “Combining Razzl with the artistry of football freestyle brings together two thrilling elements – the taste and sensation of our soft drink and the mesmerising skill and creativity of freestyle football.

“Razzl, more than being a drink, celebrates freshness, originality, an attitude and inspiration for discovery.

“Feestyle football represents an art showcasing incredible ball control, agility, and creativity that captivates audiences worldwide.

“Other activities to follow this launch will be a Consumer and Trade Promos that will involve winning of all expense paid tickets to the AFCON, execution of Fan Zones as well as exciting advertising, experiential and digital campaigns and limited-edition packaging,” he said.

Ufomba said Razzl drink would be on hand at various spots during the 2024 AFCON, starting from the airport to the stadium and other places.

“As soccer fans across the continent gear up to unite in celebration, Razzl will stand with them, enhancing every exhilarating moment with its refreshing presence,” he said.

Ufomba said the media would not be left out of the equation of creating an opportunity to experience the grandeur of AFCON.

“We also have a package for the media to sponsor the best journalist to capture the AFCON moment,” he said.
