I can state authoritatively that most 1st class students from these primary schools private universities cannot attain 1 second class upper degree if they were in Public universities like UNN, UI, OAU etc. These schools dash 1st class like everyday is christmas.

Are you kidding me? Why not send them to [b]guantanamo bay? Is that school for adults or mental health hospital? Are students from those schools most heaved students in Nigeria? Schooling is not about book book and book else you produce bunch of odd numbers who can't fit in into normal society.

Please people stop this devilish talk against Church Universities. The school fees for these schools are less than $3000 yet, they provide facilities that are world-class. U can imagine how much you'd pay for education in the US or UK. Secondly does anyone of you know how much it costs to fund a University? considering the fact that what you'd get from some of these private schools are far better than what you get in the so called federal institutions that are a product of years of investments. Federal and state schools all get support from the federal government in excess of 300million Naira monthly, yet the facilities are decaying by the day as opposed to private schools that have no other source of funding yet, their facilities are being maintained to best possible condition. I was at Covenant University yesterday and I was stunned by what I saw. I can't still believe that they've got more halls of resident than OAU that has been in existence for years, how do you people think these facilities are going to be maintained? How do you think they pay salaries of lecturers and non teaching staff? How do you think they provide electricity for the whole institution? How do you think they get funding for research and stuffs like that. There are lots of other things that can be added to the list but by now think some of us might have got the gist. Only the federal govt can run schools at ridiculously cheap prices not even state govt can attempt this.

The Lagos state govt just increased LASU fees from 25k to 250k. If 25k was very convenient for them why did they take it to 250k (over 900% increment)

Nobody is forcing you to attend the University, neither is any one forcing you to pay tithe or offering. Rather than complaining, ranting and barking why not attend the public schools and keep your offering (that is if you have ever paid an  offering).

Non of the university can compete with most FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES, like OAU, UNILAG , UNN,e.t.c

I heard some of these  Church Universities don't even have professors.

Abi you guys want them to make it free so every riff-raff in Nigeria can attend? Many of y'all don't even attend any of those churches, so your one naira is not part of the school's endowment. Stop complaining. You can't afford it, attend MAPOLY or wherever you fancy. Attending the church does not confer automatic free admission plus tuition on anybody. Any of you that is a church member and is not pleased about tuition, stop attending, period.

Truth is education is not free. Anywhere in the world. The government's attempt to run free education is what has created the mess in our public education system. The private universities need to run. Tithes and offerings might have started them, but cannot continue to fund them. Those schools are not charity organisations, they self-sustain. So you pay for what you get. Ask people who have gone abroad for university education how cheap it really is. Those schools are the best and the secret is simple - there is a cost to quality education! You have a problem with that? Go learn a trade!

The school is like a public primary school.the classes are rubbish,no fan,no window, lecturers are dumb and boring.

Hostel accommodation is Gosh!!!,shit mehn!! can't even imagine my enemy there,no window net,environment is dirty, the administration itself is corrupt and most time when NUC comes for accreditation, the NUC officials are always bribed.

A school where u will be denied exit to leave school to collect money just because they want you to use father edeh's bank(mayfresh bank If any of you know the bank,it is father edeh's bank) and when you go to withdraw money from the bank(mayfresh bank) it takes two days to get your money and for every 2000 naira you with draw,you pay a commission of 500naira.

Social life is nothing to talk about,in fact you don't have a life in that school cos you are being treated like a dog in that school.

a school where your juniors just because they have been made hall reps, after several months of been a spy(secretly snitching your friends and roommates) will bee given power to slap you and kneel you down(you maybe a final year student),  

of which most of those spies are cult member, Our male dean who graduated from Madonna as a spy was transfer to our school is a member.

Our former CSO(MR AGBO) who is has been transfer to Madonna is also one,and he is a WAEC holder not a graduate(an illiterate who cant even speak good English),The present one is better but he sleeps with girls before he gives them exit to leave the school,of which he just seeing to talking to a girl in school he cant expel to for that, all he has to to is to lie on you by talling father that you and that girl is romancing (these are the kind of words father likes to hear cos he uses it to deceive our parent all in the name of teaching morals but our parents are blind by his priesthood,its unfortunate)

do you want to go to a school where a reverend sister will tell everybody to enter the exam hall and that the first 50 that enters will be allow to write the exam and the rest will not right(automatic carry over which is been done intentionally by the school to frustrate student and keep making them pay money.for every course you carry over you will pay N10000 +N50000 carry over course form + full school fees)

Do you want to go to a school where u just finish writing your final exam and knowing the kind of school you are in so you and your friends go to your room to celebrate(happy mood,spray pure water on yourself,and dancing) and the CSO comes and pack all of you and accuse you of rioting and them expels 16 of you once

Do you want to go to a school where you cant even trust your roommates,a school where you will be living in fear(the school is full of hatred,that is why after school most hall reps and spies go home weeks after school close because their lives are in danger,they can be hit at anytime cos of the evil they have done,it hunts them till they die),IMO any person that have the mind to expel his best friend because you want to serving the stupid school,such a person can kill you and it is better you kill the person first, This is what you get in caritas.people snitching themselves because they want to serve the school so they can be made hall reps,this is what the school is breeding hatred among students and teaching you how not to trust your next man)


who wants to go to a school where a stone was alleged thrown on the deans car when he came to boys hostel(that is if truly a stoned was thrown at his car), after all the investigation there was no scratch on the car,not glass cracked, but still dean when ahead to arrest all the innocent students in the down floor playing outside,That day 110 students where expelled,80 suspended,after that, the remaining students where fined N50000 each(imagine 50000*1200 boys=60million naira>>>father hammer for that one)

As we heard the school was meant to be like an NGO where children of the less privilege will be helped but the case is different cos father collect money from student and also collects money form his international donors from abroad(cos they believe that school is free).

I am sure the person who started the discussion is not a Muslim, He is only expressing his opinion about the fees in these schools. Even if he is a Muslim, that does not mean he is speaking the minds of others Muslims.  The fees to me are not on the higher side considering the fact that it includes accommodation and feeding.
