It’s a valid question. I was looking at the map of the Gaza crossing yesterday night and was also wondering why Egypt had to put up such barrier if they truly care for their Muslim brothers. I was looking at the map on cnn.com and didn’t see any where Israel shared a side with the barrier. I am saying this cos people can now be saying that the fence was erected to keep the Israelis away, but no, Israel shares no border with the fence. The fence was erected to keep the Palestinians away.

IDF should still take it easy sha, d ones that can’t protect themselves are actually the ones bearing the brunt of their assault.

Egypt did not only build a dangerous 24 kilometers fence but also reinforce it with hundreds of soldiers. That's what they think Palestinians deserve but they don't want Israel to do same.
