First-time Gaming: To Use A Walkthrough Or Not? by FishGiftseeker: 12:21pm On Dec 02, 2023 |
Hey peeps! So, I just dove into this new game, and now I'm in a bit of a pickle: should I go all-in, figuring it out on my own, or just casually peek at a walkthrough? Honestly, the first playthrough of a game feels a bit like an adventure. Game designers put their heart and soul into crafting each level and puzzle, giving us a chance to flaunt our gaming prowess. Skipping the walkthrough means every level cleared feels like a small triumph, a real ego boost! But, you know, sometimes you run into those super tricky levels that seem impossible to crack. That's when the allure of the walkthrough kicks in. It's like this magical shortcut to conquer the obstacles, letting you breeze through and continue your gaming journey. So, what's your move? Are you all about the thrill of figuring things out on your own, or are you in the fast lane to completion? I think it totally depends on your gaming vibe. Some folks love tackling the challenges head-on, relishing in every victorious moment, while others might be more into the storyline or the overall experience, not wanting to let getting stuck ruin the mood. In the end, whether to glance at the walkthrough during your maiden gaming voyage is a matter of personal preference. No matter your playstyle, the key is to find maximum joy in the game. Got any thoughts or experiences? |

NoonMasamune: Indeed, walkthroughs have the biggest impact on open worlds. This is what happened when I first played The Witcher III. Even though I didn't make it to a good end, it was my own journey through the world. And when I play the new game+ according to the walkthrough and reach the perfect ending, I feel that something is missing |

After The Witcher III, I have a much deeper understanding of games, especially open world games. I usually spend a lot of time exploring each location I discover for the first time, making sure I don't miss anything, especially story-related items. It lengthens my game time, but I enjoy the process. After all, playing an open world game is all about adventure. Without adventure, the open world is meaningless |
