Today i will be talking about Bitter leaf, also called EWURO in Yoruba, Onugbu in Ibo, Shakwa in Hausa, and also called Bowin/Awonwone/Bowene/Ayeanwonle in Ghana depending on the tribe.
Bitter leaf for most people is known for its delicacy in soups and also its medicinal qualities such as to detoxify the body (with other herbs inclusive), for high blood pressure and also enhancing fertility. Today, I will be showing you another useful use of Bitter leaf in the spiritual line.
Bitter leaf is used for cleansing. Yes cleansing. As some of you who have attended my classes already know that there are different types of cleansing. Bitter leaf is a powerful herb that is used for cleansing of the body for removal of negative energy, spiritual soap and a few others. Also note that to use bitter leaf for cleansing or any spiritual work you need to cleanse your materials 1st, in this case the bitter leaf. The reason why you cleanse materials is to remove the energies it already carries from the market, the seller, buyer, and other environmental energies. It’s almost similar to you washing your vegetables before using it to make a dish.

Bitter leaf cleansing recipe.
Get the following items:
1. Water
2. Bitter leaf
3. Lemon grass
4. Back of lemon
5. Coconut water
6. Salt
Add all into a pot and bring to a boil for 7 – 13mins. Use a sieve to get out all the ingredients and pour the water into a bucket. Add more water till you get the amount of water for your bath.
Get a local sponge (to be discarded after your bath). Use alongside cleansing soap.
Read psalm 91 into the water, then proceed to cleanse yourself. Once done, throw the sponge into a nylon and into the dustbin.
It best you allow the water to dry out on your body, before you proceed to cream and dress up.
