Whether or not we like it,they are doing their thing and testimonies abound.
Adedeji Odulesi, a popular Detribalised polyglot shares his friends experience.

This thread is a response to some of the vile things ppl say about other tribes without traveling .
It is to also debunk the popular notion that ABA produces inferior goods.China,Japan once had their products shamed but today the story is different.Aba is the reason an average Nigerian,West African,Central African and Beyond can afford to look good. 👍

Aside shoes 👟,we are now heavy into production of Belts,Fashion Apparels,COver alls,Trendy Bags,Travelling boxes etc.
Anything you want, you must see it.

Hardworking people survive in Igboland, lazy people don't.
My young nephew that wanted to turn out as the black sheep in the family after getting influenced by bad friends was finally sent to Aba after he became a little remorseful and sober. He learnt tailoring in Aba for months. Now the boy is very good. He has his own shop, and he is doing well for himself. Today, he is the one advising his former friends to leave their wayward lives and become productive as him.
The reason why most people don't want to go to the east to hustle is because they are lazy and have become used to lazy welfarism culture in their states. They are used to waiting for free oil money, agberoism, yahoo, political patronage as SSAs or touts and the likes.

If you are lazy, lack innovation and unenterprising

You won't survive in the East

Because everything is individually and privately run

Zero Federal government support

One of the secrets of Igbo successes is because they have an open mind. An Igbo is always open to ideas and doesn't mind stooping to conquer. He will learn the language of wherever he travels to and would try as much as possible to make an impact in that society. Go to Plateau, Benue, Kano, Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna etc you will observe it.

Unlike the yorubas, they have a superiority complex even when they're hungry. This Yoruba man that ignored the unwise counsel of his tribesmen and traveled to Aba has become successful. Others will rather remain poor in their mud house somewhere in Obomoso, Abeokuta, oshobo etc and be saying rubbish like Igbos don't sell land to outsiders. Igbos don't welcome outsiders and other ignorant bla bla bla.

I like the way Igbos are making their region hubs for certain goods and services. E.g. Aba for shoes, bags and cloths. Nnewi for automobiles and parts. Onitsha for movies and consumer goods.

The black Jews!!!

There is a growing community of Yoruba ppl learning Shoemaking at Ariaria same as Northerners learning Textile business. Then there are those who book for products.

Fun fact:Most trailers bringing in Agric produce into ABA do not go back empty rather they waybill back finished goods produced here.It is why despite successive bad governance over the years,Abia state maintained a healthy HDI

If Containers bringing in goods into Nigeria are filled with Made in Nigeria goods while returning,do you think we would be having Forex problems.

Yorubas are fear, fear people especially the Yoruba Muslims among them.

How can u be afraid of an igbo man who ordinarily loves visitors.

Igbos will never harm a visitor because they recognise the fact that everyone is a sojourner. The day yorubas stop hating igbos and also quit being afraid to move around the country without being scared, then expect good things from them onward.

But still,they are fearsome people.
