AUTOMOBILE MECHANIC NEEDED IN A PUBLISHING FIRM LOCATED IN IBADAN

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Candidate must possess at least NABTEB or vocational education certificate or equivalent, having higher qualifications such as ND or HND in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.

Years of cognate experience as an automobile mechanic.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
Extensive knowledge and ability to handle various repair tools for different vehicle parts and models
Adept knowledge and understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems, exceptional automotive care practices and techniques.


JOB REQUIREMENT
• Must be able to identify faults with the vehicles and troubleshoot them in order to resolve the causes of the fault.
• Must carry out routine preventative maintenance on vehicles such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids and replacing brakes
• Must be able to change tyres or any wearing out parts, as well as order new parts or tools as and when due.
• Must be able to provide accurate cost of vehicle parts and estimate labor cost on any vehicle or truck that could be taken out for a repair.
• Generate timelines for repairs when vehicles are given to external vendor.
• Inspecting internal systems and controls such as vehicle's computer and electronic system to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations.
• Must schedule future maintenance sessions and advise the company’s drivers on best to keep the vehicles in good condition.
• Must be able to make and keep a comprehensive records of the work done on each vehicle and submit the weekly report to the supervisor in charge.
