On Friday, 8th December 2023, the Kwara State chapter of the Committee for Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) marked World Human Rights Day in a grand style. The members of CDHR, adorned in shirts and caps bearing the organization's logo, embarked on a series of activities to raise awareness about the importance of human rights.

As part of the commemoration, the CDHR members paid a courtesy visit to the office of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. The visit was aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the CDHR and NHRC in promoting and protecting human rights in the state.

Furthermore, the CDHR delegation also visited the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) in Ilorin, where they engaged in discussions about the role of the media in promoting human rights issues. This visit aimed to encourage media organizations to play an active role in creating awareness and advocating for the respect of human rights.
