VP Kashim Shettima Declined Gov Abdulrahman request to visit Tanke Bridge

The vice president of the federal Republic of Nigeria , His Excellency Kashim Shettima earlier today turned down the request by his host, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq , to pay a presidential visit to the controversial Tanke Bridge in Ilorin . The reason behind the VP declination is still sketchy but sources close to the former Borno Governor said it is not unconnected to the series of controversies that have trailed the Bridge .

Report has it that the VP was earlier billed to pass his night in Kwara and pay official visit to the Tanke Bridge but Shettima quickly canceled his schedule without even notifying the Governor and jet out of Kwara at the later hour of today.

Those who confided in this medium claimed the Vice president recieved intelligence report against visiting the Poorly constructed brigde and avoided it so as not to put his name in the mud .
