Governor Soludo’s free and antenatal and delivery services in Anambra state has taken huge impact in transforming the health infrastructure in the state.
Women, but in the jeans and non-indigenous now confidently walk into any government hospital and take delivery free of charge.
Testimonies are abound. This move is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, kicked off free antenatal and free delivery services to pregnant women in Idemili South and Anambra State at large.

Declaring the exercise opened at the flag-off ceremony at the General Hospital, Nnobi. Charly Nwangbafor affirmed that 'Onye Aghana Nwanne ya' is the motto of APGA and Anambra state Government have alot of things for ndi Anambra, stating that the state government is doing sustainable human development.

Odenjinji noted that in his first nine months as the Governor of Anambra State, he employed 5,000 teachers and he is planning to employ more teachers, maintaining that health is wealth and that is why Anambra State Government is paying much attention on Health.

"Onye Aghana Nwanne ya is the motto of APGA, and Anambra State Government has a lot of things for ndi Anambra. We are doing sustainable human development. "

He further said that the free antenatal and free delivery services will continue in Anambra State as far as he remained the governor.

Earlier on, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) applauded Governor Charles Soludo for the massive infrastructures going on in the state, especially in Idemili South, saying that more roads will be constructed in Idemili South.

She further urged Idemili South residents to continue praying for Anambra State Government ably led by Professor Charles Soludo for more strength, protection, and guidance.

On his brief remark, the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji welcomed Governor Charles Soludo in Idemili South and recalled when he visited the council area earlier at Mmiri John, and it received the touch of solution.

In his remark, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike said Governor Charles Soludo is not just delivering free antenatal and free delivery services but also improving the capacity of each hospital.

"This is the first time we are doing it, and if you are not satisfied with their service, please call these numbers. There are a lot of agenda in health and our duty is to keep supporting the government"- Dr. Obidike.

In his vote of appreciation, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, who is the Special Adviser to Governor Charles Soludo on Youth Mobilization lauded Odenjinji for quick intervention, stating that Governor Charles Soludo came to Nnobi with Solution and Idemili South residents appreciates his kind gesture.

Dignitaries at the event were HRM Igwe Nike Obi, ably represented by Chief Onyechi Ifezuo, former Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, Dr. Mike Omenugha, Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Hon. Don Onyenji, Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, Special Adviser to Governor Charles Soludo on Youth Mobilization, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, Deputy TC Chairman, local government APGA Chairman, Chief Kizito Anoliefo, and ward executives, PGs, Nnobi women leader Odiuko, youth leaders, and many others.
