So unfortunate that a debt / asset recovery agency, turned itself to a loss making business institution.
They lost relevance through renegotiation of selling off viable businesses at little or nothing to the indebtedness of the financial institutions.
A typical example is that if Arik Airline.
Too much politics in every sector .
I support it's scrapping , better than including loses and enriching private individuals .
I sense this nigga or his relatives are in AMCON blacklist.

How on earth should big time notoriuos debtors like jimoh Ibrahim and ifeanyi uba be part of a financial management and debt recovery committee?

How did these guys even become senators in the first place?

80% of the staff in that corporation are the children of these thieves and law makers o.

Instead of them to advocate for a change of the management of Amcon, they are talking of scrapping.

Jimoh Ibrahim & Ifeanyi Uba? Wonders don end finally

The two of them are owing AMCON. The Chairman of the Committee Tokunbo Abiru knows this because he was a Bank Managing Director, and these two thieves you mentioned are also owing his former banks. Tokunbo Abiru knows this, he just don't want to publicly disgrace the two serial thieves, but if they push him, he will strip them nakked at the market square and whip them. Don't forget, he is Tinubu's boy, so he has all the Presidential backing he needs.

Jimoh Ibrahim keh?

Of all people he is demanding for the scrapping of AMCON? Wonders shall never end, as they say.

He has had running battles with AMCON for years, with a debt of 69.4 billion. He also had a case of tax fraud to the tube of 6.8 billion. He became popular during OBJ’s regime, after having controversially acquired NICON insurance, etc.

How do we expect fairness from him, when he has oversight functions over the same organization that he is hugely indebted to?

The same goes for Ifeanyi Ubah, whose indebtedness stood at 135 billion. After several years of litigation, settled out of court this year, with him making refunds to AMCON and subsequently defecting to APC.

Pervasive poverty and destruction will not stop in this country until these horrible politicians are shown the way out. It will not stop until the citizens come to the realization that those they vote for simply share their common patrimony among themselves when they meet.

Exactly, at one time this same Jimoh Ibrahim was the highest debtor when First Bank published names of Debtors some years back. Some of these guys are just criminals.

Hahaha

Nigeria is a comedy central indeed.

Just take a look at almost all the senators listed as calling for the scrapping of AMCON. They all have one axe or the other to grind with the agency over seized assets due to their corruption and borrowing without repayment.

Now, tell me, were these confirmed thieves supposed to be allowed anywhere near the government at all in the first place?

How do you fix a system when the ones responsible for all her woes are selected to govern?

Hopeless situation.

The committee chairman really used wisdom here. He knows the attacks is coming from debtors and as a former bank chief knows the issues. Kudos Toks

You got it there.

Do not forget that scrapping AMCON will be to their advantage. Maybe buy them more time to sort out their mess and possibly put an end to the matter for them.
