The Beacons Club of Nigeria, a Social and non-governmental organization awarded scholarships to 10 secondary school students in Osun State. The scholarships cover 2024 WAEC Examination Fee.

The ceremony was held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Oriade South Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ipetu-Ijesha, Osun State. The event was hosted by Hon. Ademola Asaju, the chairman of the LCDA, who commended his club Leadership and Members for their laudable initiative and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity.

The club's vice chief, Hon. Wale Shodeinde, who led the club's delegation, said the scholarships were part of the club's efforts to support the education sector and encourage academic excellence among students. He said the club selected the beneficiaries based on their academic performance, character, and financial need.

The beneficiaries are:

- Ikeji-Ile High School, Ikeji-Ile: Ajibade Tobiloba, Adetayo Adesoji, Odusoro Okiki, and Akingbola Sunday Feranmi.
- Elefosan School of Science, Ilesa: Oyekola Michael, Olaoluwa Mary, Olowoselu Busola, and Salawu Ayomide.
- Apoti Community Grammar School, Apoti: Olaniyan Comfort and Olajide Okikiiola.

The parents and teachers presents at the event expressed their gratitude to the club and the students promised to work hard and excel in their studies. They also thanked Hon. Asaju for hosting the event and supporting their education.

The Beacons Club of Nigeria is a registered social non-profit organization that was founded 2011 by a group of young professionals and philanthropists. The club's vision is to make life a better for members and impact the society positively.
