Two grenades detonated and people are running, this story is certainly not clear.
I watched the video this morning on Twitter and for someone who has seen the damage a single grenade can cause I was amused that people were still running in a small room after two grenades were detonated.

A village councillor in western Ukraine has thrown grenades onto the floor of a council meeting, wounding 26 people, police say.

The attack took place on Friday morning at the village council headquarters in Keretsky in the western Zakarpattia region.

Police have not yet commented on a possible motive for the attack, which has left six seriously wounded.

The meeting was being livestreamed on Facebook when the incident took place.

Footage shows the man entering the room during a heated discussion about 90 minutes into the meeting.

He then stands next to a door for around 30 seconds before tossing three grenades into the middle of the room.

"As a result, 26 people were wounded, six of whom are in a grave condition," the police statement said, adding that medics were trying to resuscitate the man who threw the grenades.

Many Ukrainians have access to weaponry due to the war with Russia, but there is no evidence yet that the attack was related to the conflict.

Keretsky is a part-Hungarian, part-Ukrainian village and not far from the Hungarian border - but again, there is no suggestion of an ethnic dimension to the attack.

Russian economy is gaining more strenght while Ukraine is depending on handouts from EU/US. Hamas vs Israel is now the trending agenda...too bad for Ukraine. They picked the wrong fight with the wrong opponent @ the wrong time. Russia is too big & powerful to be isolated by US/NATO/EU.

I always say to my pals when we discuss world conflicts, any smaller country having misunderstanding with the Big boys (China . Russia . USA . Japan . Britain), should find any other means to settle the issue and never resolve to fight a war with them, even if you are promised support by anybody or any country.

I tell them these countries will never openly or directly throw missiles at each other even if they promised to support you fight, because they know the consequence will be a world war instantly, with massive loss to all involved.

The best they will do is assist you with money and weapons but they will never go into direct military confrontation against each other because of you.

At the end of the day, you will be the one doing your fighting by your self and bringing heavy destruction to your country and loss of life, while your supporters that pushed you to war will sit comfortably in their country sympathising with you and holding fruitless meetings up and down.

At the end of the day you will still resort to negotiation to resolve the matter, but this time it will be with heavy destruction and loss of life already incurred.
